We are coming to WDW for the first time Nov 7...we are a male 53 and female 51 and we have saved for 8 years for this trip...Disney has been a DREAM for me all my life...but...life got in the way...also son 24 and Girlfriend will be coming with us...maybe...just maybe we will be lucky enough to get a dream come true from Disney..my god …its almost time …a little over 2 weeks….to wax poetetically if I may...I used to watch "Wonderful World Of Disney" every Sunday as a child and young adult with dreams of going there some day...we are staying at CSR with MYW and DDP
All I can say is we have a count down going and CANNOT wait until Nov 7, 2007 at 5:30 am when we leave for WDW!!!!!:

I'm so happy for you. You will have great fun. Where are you staying?

DH and I believe that WDW is super for adults - you can act like a kid without embarassing your kids. Have a great time - you can do whatever you want without worrying about height restrictions, early dinners, etc.

I hope you have a good guide and have been studying the attractions. I think the biggest mistake that newbies make is thinking that they will be able to orient themselves AT the parks .... wrong - most of the attractions are inside buildings and the entrances can be hard to find.

Also, be sure to have some dining plans ... it is possible to get some ressies when you arrive - remember that the restaurants can be as much fun as the rides - don't miss a few sit down meals.

We are two adults with no kids, we go quite often for the specific purpose of being a kid. A few suggestions for your first trip, don't go with any expectations, and while it's good to have a basic plan, it's also a good idea to just let it roll. That said, you are going to have a blast. Oh, one more thing we do, as soon as we pass under the main entrance arch, the real world ceases to exist and the Disney world takes over, in fact we keep the room tv set to one of the Disney specific stations.

I am excited for you. Have a wonderful time and no matter where you stay - take an afternoon to check out the WL, GF, CR, and Poly. The last three are accessible by the monorail from the MK and the WL is accessible by boat from the MK or the CR. These resorts are Disney's finest and if by chance some of the Christmas decorations are going up toward the end of your trip you are in for a big treat. My favorite ride is Soarin, favorite fireworks - Illuminations and Fantasmic is worth the price of admission to MGM. Any questions - just let us know. Have a wonderful vacation.:thumbsup2

I know you are going to LOVE IT!!!!
Remember to Pace yourself to you do not get to tired.
Enjoy your Trip!!:flower3:

Hi
Just wanted to say have a great time. My DH and I are going in Dec for his
58th birthday. You are going to have so much fun!!! There's no where else in the world like Disneyworld.

First, have a great time. Also, whichever park you go to first get the "My first visit to WDW" buttons for your entire party. I'd also think about getting the photopass CD. Be sure to use EMH and fastpasses too. I'm not sure how long you'll be staying. You might want to check this link out to see if it's possible to fit it into your schedule:

I don't know if you plan to, but Dollar Tree has some Disney Christmas window clings right now. It does help to find your room late at night.

RJO, Hope you and your family have an awesome time, we are heading down to Disney on the 7th of November too!! :wizard: Sending some Pixie Dust your way in hopes of you have a Magical Disney Vacation.
:cool1:
