Even when not on air, the ladies of The Real Housewives of New York City know how to stir things up.

Amid Bravo's announcement this morning of a third season pickup and of a casting call for new Housewives (yes, that is plural), sources tell us that all of the Housewives are likely to come back for season three, but two wives are putting up quite a fight when it comes to negotiating their new contracts. Who are those two? And what's that shiny thing on Bethenny Frankel's finger? Read on...

Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer are the two holding out for more lucrative contracts, according to our source, who says they feel they are the true stars of the show. "Bravo put out that press release saying they're casting for new housewives because Jill and Ramona are playing hardball," says another source.

Contrary to reports that last season's newbie troublemaker Kelly Bensimon might not return for a new season, our sources say she actually was the first to resign. "She is considered the most hated woman in New York and will do anything to reverse that opinion," says a source.

It's also looking good that Bethenny will indeed be back for another round. Her rep says, "Bethenny Frankel loves being part of the Bravo family, and if invited back, she will 100 percent RSVP for the Real Housewives party."

Meanwhile, Bethenny (E! Online's Celebrity Blogger for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the forthcoming new seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, starting July 30, and the next season of The Real Housewives of Orange County) has a pre-engagement ring from her real estate boyfriend of a less than a year, Jason Hoppy. A source tells us, "The ring is a placeholder. But she is definitely getting married."

Sorry guys, Bethenny Frankel will soon be off the market!

The "Real Housewives of New York" star, who has been dating boyfriend Jason Hoppy for the past eight months, plans to get engaged, her rep confirmed to Usmagazine.com.

The celebrity chef was seen sporting a diamond ring in Miami on Saturday, sparking rumors that Hoppy, who works in real estate, had already proposed.

"I can confirm Bethenny and Jason are in love and plan on getting married," her rep said. "So I guess this is the starter ring."

Over "Real Housewives’" two seasons, 38-year-old Frankel has discussed her struggle to balance her burgeoning career and a relationship.

The admitted workaholic often worried that she could never "have it all." But now it seems she can have just that.

"I'm in love," Frankel revealed at a Hamptons event. "I'm pretty much certain I'm going to spend the rest of my life with him ... I’m really happy."

The couple first met at Manhattan nightclub Tenjune and have since taken several vacations together.

While the diamond on her finger may not be an engagement ring quite yet, Frankel and Hoppy are definitely on the road to marriage.

"He's hunting for the ring, but in the meantime this is a place holder or promise ring," a source told the magazine.

It’s a good thing her "Housewives" co-stars approve of her beau as he will be featured on the next season of the Bravo series.

"He’ll be on the show," Frankel told People.com. "He’s totally cool about it, but not gung-ho about it. He’s not Speidi."

I don't know if I'd watch if Jill Zarin wasn't on there...I like her the best!

Not surprised about kelley what else does she have to do. Let's see we have kelly but maybe not Jill or Ramona-Guess I will think twice about watching. They could have drop Kelley & split her pay between the rest of them.

I love Bethenny and Jill. I wonder if Luann doesn't want her divorce playing out publicly, especially for her kids. But then again...do any of them care what plays out on TV?

Ramona I could do without...just annoys the heck out of me so much, she's not even worth the entertainment value of her drama.

I love the wannabe aspects of "Silex"...they're good for a laugh.

I'm actually glad Kelly is coming back. She's fun to watch...she's always in a constant state of "huh?" And the impersonations Bethenny does of her are priceless, like that high pitched "Hi!" of Kelly's as she enters an event and greets her admirers.
