Go back and rewatch the first show where this is brought up and listen carefully to what he says...I believe that he is trying to use the learning disability (one that he admitted that he got in high school :confused3) to cover up the fact that he did poorly enough that the school did not want him back.

Further, it is up to him to go and ask for extra help! When I was in law school, if you needed extra help the professors were always accessible and willing to help you along with understanding the material. He was complaining that he had to re-read paragraphs 3 times before he understood them -- guess what? so do most law students because the material can be hard to digest on the first go round! Obviously this learning disability didn't stop him from achieving in undergraduate studies, from taking the LSATs and from getting into a law school. If it was so pronounced, perhaps he should have taking the plunge into law school as a part time student to lessen the courseload. I'm sure if you got officials from the school to discuss this you would hear a much different story! And I'm sure they're not too happy that he got an attorney involved -- he obviously didn't learn what I did my first day of law school, don't piss off the mind you are trying to pursuade.

Oh, I hear you, I am sure at this point he is using this as an excuse. Otherwise, you would think he would have made them aware of the learning disability from the get-go!! But, you know that the school will cave, better to do so rather than risk bad press. Either way, kudos to Caroline and family for saying it's Albie's battle to fight, instead of fighting it for him. :thumbsup2

There was an article in the NJ paper yesterday about Kim G. the one with the Bentley.

She said she has now had a falling out with Danielle and they aren't friends anymore.

Also, Kim G. and Kim D. are sisters-in-law, which hasn't been mentioned on the air. Apparently they both want to be on the show full time next season.

Gee, we all saw THAT one coming. Otherwise, why give them all this airtime?

They need someone who will film with Danielle. But Danielle hates them both now.

Seriously, because otherwise just give Danielle her own show "Me (victim) vs. Them (the scary ladies I need a bodyguard against)"

I need to do a google search to figure out what is currently happening with these ladies. I know they taped the shows probably 9 months or so ago.

But what law school would even consider him? Let's see....

1. Litigious
2. 1.9 gpa

I don't think I'd want him as my lawyer!

Huh. I didn't know that. I assumed that public schools (K-12) were required to provide accomodations because kids are required to go to school. Since higher ed. is optional, I didn't think there were an laws for undergrad/grad schools.

Or is just public universities?

Learn something new everyday. Can you point me to the law? Thx

This doesn't seem right to me. I mean, if you flunk out of law school, even if you do have a learning disability, maybe you just shouldn't be a lawyer. People's lives are in your hands in a lot of cases. Also, med school. I just think those aren't really professions for those who cannot handle the course work in school, for whatever reason.

Now in Albie's case, I doubt any reputable University will take him unless he takes the required 2 years and does something meaningful with them. That rule is in place for a reason.

Just read Jacqueline's blog, looks like she is a little behind, but I loved this part:

"I am just going to ASSUME that when that Danielle said "coke *****" as Ashley was getting on the runway that Danielle was referring to HERSELF, since there ARE court documents to prove that is an accurate description of Danielle. Someone at her table must have asked her about her previous job occupations, and she was just answering them honestly. Good for her. She's finally being accountable for at least one thing from her past. I'm assuming this because I just can't believe that a 48-year-old would say that about an 18-year-old girl."

Jacqueline slays me...playing the game on her iphone with the spiritualist on the phone LMAO!

OMG ... you slay me ... what great humor!! :lmao: I read your post to my co-worker and she burst out laughing!!!

Sorry, I had to edit my reply cause I didn't like it, lol.

I didn't mean because he has a learning disability he shouldn't be a lawyer! What I meant was if he cannot get the grades he shouldn't be one. I was typing that in a rush because I have screaming kids here, sorry for the misunderstanding.

It sounds like your husband has ovecome his LD -- like many people do, and he deserves the success he has earned.

I edited my post because I thought it came off mean towards you!;). I reread your post and thought that was what you probably meant, that he shouldn't be a lawyer if he couldn't get better grades.

Thanks for the compliment for my DH. I have seen him work so hard over the years and if he can pull off his high grades and support our family, work as much as he does and be getting his bachelors next year then Albie should be top of his class being LDS or not! I really think he just didn't make his professors aware.

Remember everyone on the whole Albie/Learning Disability/Law School situation ... we are only getting ONE SIDE of the story ... !!! ::yes::

It would be very interesting to hear SH's whole take on this which of course we won't as they have privacy issues about disclosing any student's record/information.

Because I know we have debated this here and I am on another RHoNJ forum and they are all debating it as well.

Last nights incident was all Teresa, she started it. Trashy Teresa. Ashley pulling Danielle's hair, trashy. Jacqueline standing outside stalking Danielle's car, trashy. GROW UP, ladies, err, I mean MORONS. And after Teresa gets done telling Juicy what she did, "I did good, huh"; Juicy, "ya, you did good" ... WHATTTTT ... That whole show was one HUGE embarassment for NJ! :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache:

Is Albie now suing his law school? :headache:

After watching last night's episode, I was so surprised Teresa was the instigator. And the reason? Because Danielle mentioned the foreclosure. It's public knowledge now that they filed bankruptcy and are likely delinquent in their mortgage. Teresa made the scene to begin with and then chased Danielle outside. While I think Danielle is crazy, Teresa caused the entire scene. I am glad she pressed charges against Ashley, the little brat needs to learn some boundaries since she doesn't have them at home.

Even tho I do not like Danielle-Ashley really gave her head a huge jerk when she pulled her hair-completely immature.

Who else thinks that Danielle and Kelly from NYC should become BFF?? Now that would be one scary show!!!

Um, I think you mean "those woman." ;)

Has anyone else noticed that she says that? It's WOMEN!!

Kristen

Am I the only one who noticed that when Danielle ran away from Teresa, she didn't just go down the hall and out the door. Noooo, she ran back into the dining room. Then she ran down the hall and out the door. What better way to get all the attention.

I know that the Guidices filed bankruptcy, but haven't the laws changed now, where you have to still pay your creditors back? Anyone know anything about the new bankruptcy laws?

this show is a legit hotttt mess!!

its like a horrible car accident.. you just can not look away!

It drives me crazy! Danielle was asked about it during the live show after (when she sang), and she didn't even realize how stupid it sounds. What a whackadoo.

I think Danielle hit a sore spot with Teresa when she mentioned her house was in foreclosure. That's the first time (I think!) the money troubles were mentioned in the show. I am starting to think that she is as crazy as Danielle.

Just reported on the internet that Danielle is suing Teresa and Ashley.
