Ready Set Go Auctions

I posted on another board about this earlier but wanted to know something about Sky Auctions. Right now there is no availibity in Orlando for the Ready Set Go auctions. Do you think that there will be by mid to late May? They say that you get the best resorts about two weeks out. Is this true.

Yes! We've used Skyauction before, actually purchased (2) 2 bedroom condos at Orange Lake Country Club for less than $500 including everything. We used the Ready, Set Go thing too. Usually you can find a really good deal within 3 months of your travel....

It's nail-biting, but you definitely get the best deals by waiting until the last minute. This works best if you have some flexibility in your dates. I finally won an auction for us on Dec. 1, and we're leaving Jan. 15. We didn't have much flexibility with our dates, so I was getting really nervous, but it worked out okay. For weeks there was nothing available for our dates, but all of a sudden it just showed up and we got the resort we wanted (Orbit One). I actually bid on a Home & Away auction which was a bit risky because someone else could have gotten my resort/dates, but we were lucky and got what we wanted, plus I have a $100 gift cert to use for a future auction. Same thing happened last year. I started watching in Jan. to see if something would come up for March Break, but it never happened. Good luck

Right now there is no availibity in Orlando for the Ready Set Go auctions.

You don't say when your trip is.

The last two years, we did Ready, Set, Go auctions for our November stays. I booked them both around May because I don't like waiting until the last minute. Much before then, nothing was showing for our dates. So if you are looking for dates more than 5-6 months away, they may not be listed yet.
