Anyone use these as your primary reading glasses, instead of prescription?

I wear contacts for distance , and eye doc said just to get these inexpensive reading glasses for near reading. Good idea?

They work great for a couple of my family members! They buy them in bulk when they find them on sale. I wish I could use them.

the opthamologist told my sister to do the same thing instead of getting perscription glasses too.......told her the number to get and everything.....

My DH does. The eye doctor told him the same as yours. Good thing since he is so bad at misplacing them. He's got about 10 pairs all around the house. A prescription pair would cost much more.

I've looked at them. I don't really need glasses all the time but be aware there are differences in quality. I was at CVS the other day and while waiting for a prescription tried some on. They had ones for $22 and for $10. The $22 ones where clearer than the $10 ones. IMO.

yes, eye Doctor also told me what number to get....so I went out and got a funky purple pair!!!!! :sunny:

the rest are from Dollar Tree..$1 ones that are just as clear as my others..and I don't worry if I break them or lose them!

They have some cool looking ones in the Target dollar section.

I have a pair but they are a bit too strong. I'm just starting down the path to bifocals...

I'm wondering, has anyone seen any that are less than a 1.00???
