I am hoping it is easier to ride with reduced attendance and no park hopping.
Merged you to the existing thread. You have to be inside the park by 10am for the first spots. Spots have filled in less than 1 minute most days

Got my group this morning 🎉🎉 Boarding group 23

follow up.. we were called (BG23) right around 1:00, but were next to ride SR. By the time we got to RoTR the ride was back down. Still waiting for it to reopen. ETA- just came back up 🎉🎉 next for Slinky and then headed to RoTR

First time riding today. Schedule showed the Skyliners were not starting until 9:30 today from Riviera, so we drove over. Parking lots opened at 9:15. No backups or stoppages at all getting in to park from car. Starbucks, restroom, and then to MMR,, which appeared to be running well before 10.

My son got boarding group 2 with some quick phone work right before our line for MMR went inside the building.
We were next to "ride" when RotR went down at about 10:45. Was fine for us as we got to cool down after running around all morning and had nice chat with a CM about the inner workings of the ride. Think it was back up at 11:30 and we were the first in. Rode everything we wanted to once by 2PM, back to hotel for food and pool before returning for a couple of re-rides and a late reservation at Oga's. Usually we are the type to hop to all 4 parks, so this is a pretty relaxing (and rewarding) Disney day for us.

I'm finding this to be so relaxing too! I'm an out-of-towner who usually min-maxes my trips and I run myself into the ground. This is forcing me to take breaks.

Got BG54 today and every time we’ve checked the app or walked by it seems to be down. Hope we get to go on and hope that they get these kinks worked out soon!

It’s down again now and they said they were at 52 at the downtime.
Edit: app just updated and said they’re at capacity and can’t accommodate us today.

it seems less reliable than what it was before the closure

I guess all the time offline didn’t help its reliability as it seemed to be getting a lot better before the shutdown.

Holy cow. We are BG 50, and in line now.....

I agree that it appears that way but I keep telling myselft that it has been down for almost 4 months after only be operation about 2.5 months. Still a much better track record than GM Test Track when it initially opened and RoTR is exponentially more complex of a ride experience.

Glad you made it past the operational problems on RoTR today.

Yes you can get there from Saratoga Springs but a direct bus to DS might have been quicker.

If your BG is called and within the hour for you to get there the ride goes down do you still have to be there and in line before your hour is up to keep your BG?

And I am assuming if you are in line and the ride goes down you either have to wait it out or lose your BG spot - correct?

I am just glad we missed being stuck in the dreaded hallway of non-social distancing.
I think they slightly changed the protocol. We were a little behind you guys (stuck in that hallway during the 11a-ish breakdown) and soon after they announced the ride was down, they cleared the left side of the hallway. We were on the right and sat on the floor, everyone kept their distance.

The CM told my sister there was no bus from DHS to DS. Sounded nuts to me but I’m not the one who works here 🤷🏼‍♀️
