I have Boarding Group 50. Watching this page since I have no other status updates other than the push notification from MDE that it’s down. Heading back to resort for awhile. Hoping...!

Good luck to everyone today! Waiting for our HS (8AM!) day of 2/4 - it will be very interesting to see the effects of an 8AM opening. We have two very early risers (8.5yo and 6.5yo) and since this is the first (I think?) 8AM opening for HS, we plan on arriving around 6:30AM and....camping out.

Is anyone else headed there on 2/4? Thoughts on timing? We are pretty "get everywhere early" people and would rather arrive too early than on-time/late. Will be reporting back to this thread on 2/4 with hopefully good news!

I am not going until the 17th but it is also an 8amnoprning (for now) so will be watching how the crowds are. I think your be there by 6:30 is a good idea - I am similar to you in that I would rather be there an hour early than 5 minutes too late

So thankful it’s back up! Crossing fingers the timing works out for us so we can hit all our FPs in AK this afternoon and then head back to DHS. Today hasn’t quite gone as planned, but that’s what our park hoppers are for!

Im now convinced from my previous theory that it is now set to switch to backups at 1 minute after opening regardless

I think this sounds *very* likely!!

I am not at WDW but I have friends who are. I had explained the whole process to them but honestly I was worried they would not fully understand the importance of timing it right. So I logged into their account from home this morning too, launched the app at 6:59:50, hit show more and the join boarding group was red. Got them group 6! I will live vicariously through them until I can make it down myself.

I'm heading there 2/4, also. NO CLUE what to expect. I am NOT a morning person, nor am I the most punctual person, so I'm planning on leaving Pop at around 6:30am at the latest. I'm traveling solo, and am pretty worried about how it will go, and the dreaded "glitch".

It’s down again. Devastating. They are saying if your boarding group has already been called, you can come back anytime today and they will honor it. So if you’re out and about and can’t make it back for your window, you’re good. The problem of course is if you need to ride soon it’s not looking good.

I hope you are able to get your SDD FP moved because of the breakdown and being stuck in line.

We did! Went to a GET CM and they issued us a pass for SDD (we rode it immediately) and since we have MK AH tonight and we were leaving early, they issued us a pass for RoR tomorrow. So relieved we still get to ride even if it is tomorrow

We left DHS after we got boarding group 49 and got breakfast at Yacht Club. We knew we wouldn't get called until after noon. There was a steady stream of people leaving the park but I would not call it a crowd.
They most likely have no idea what a great number that was. We have family at DHS today and I attempted to get them a boarding group from home, but the backup groups closed before they got to the park.


DH and I both have our own MDE accounts. He used his account and I used mine. He got a boarding group before I did, most likely because he has a newer, faster phone.

Can I ask how you are able to get boarding passes from home? I thought you had to be tapped in at the park. I've been monitoring this page daily in preparation for our trip starting this Sunday, 2/2.

You just have to have tapped into DHS that morning. Since they open the tapstiles around 45 minutes early you can tap in, then turn around and immediately exit and can be somewhere else trying to get a BG at 7 (or whenever opening is that day).

Also, anyone that has access to you (through their or your MDE account), can try for your BG on your behalf from home as long as you have tapped in. My husband did this for me yesterday and he got the BG when my phone glitched here at DHS.

And with that, my galactic adventure comes to an end. I have a conflicting boarding group with Delta Airlines, for which I am already pushing my luck! I have a feeling they will not be issuing any recovery fast passes if I’m late...
