My apple watch has a face I can choose that is an old school watch face with a red second hand. There is probably a digital option too, but I liked the second hand version. This worked wonderfully when we were trying to get BGs at DLR on opening weekend. I had my phone on the ledge and my apple watch laid right next to it and my fingers at the ready!

You know you’re right, I’m an idiot! I just looked down at my watch and the screen I use the most has a second hand .

ETA I will have to change it so it stays on, though, the screen keeps going off while I try to time things!

Practicing from home, the quickest my wife and I have gotten through the process is 7:00:15, with the join button being available at about 7:00:05. Those of you that have a sub 30 BG, how quickly did you get through all the button clicks needed?

You don't need to delete people who aren't with you to get a Boarding Group. People with more than 1 screen's worth of friends and family may find it worth it to unlink/delete a few to minimize scrolling during the BG process, or to allow you to hit "select all". But I'm not planning to bother when I do it.

@5kidsmommy You can add people back, but they will need their own accounts for you to unlink them without calling Disney.

Can you make the boarding group from anywhere on property once everyone in the group has scanned in? Or do you have to be within the walls of DHS?

You can scan and then leave if you want BUT if you run into any issues you'll be far away from the park to reach GR or a GET or if you get a low bg you would need to immediately come back to the park
People have reported joining abg from their hotel rooms after entering the park

I changed the profile pictures for all the people I will be traveling with so they would be identical and that made it so much easier to grab them all when practicing making a boarding group from home.

They are completely separate. You may have 3 FP's plus a boarding group. Your fastpasses can even be in a different park for that day (assuming you have park hopper tickets or an AP).

Rope drop has been a minute or so after boarding groups are released (because CM’s know most will be on phones)

We were boarding group 87 today and got called at about 2:00. (Right when we were getting off The Falcon).

Worth the stress, research, early morning. Such an amazing experience. The Falcon was fun, too. Better than I anticipated!

Read post 1 and a couple of pages back for the current chart. It shows you what time they have been opening the park. Rope drop itself into the attractions, is at park opening

My day today arrived at park and through bag check just before 6am was empty except for about ten people - lined up and once gates opened I did a speed test on my phone (I’m from Australia and had a pre paid sim in on LTE - had good speed near the flag pole till almost 8am then it went down to nearly nothing so I raced across and stood in front of the train station and checked speed it was super fast! - opened app at 7.59 - hit find out more right at 8 and button was red yay !! Hit it and and got boarding group 16 !!! My husband couldn’t even get in at all near the flag pole and didn’t know I had it I also had my brother trying from home in Sydney aust and I was the fastest group called at about 9.30 we went straight there and walked right on awesome day

I don't use it, just search on your app store if you want to check. You can see it though by the amount of bars. The OP was taking about DL though, where connection is way worse than WDW

When you open the app, there's a special box that talks about Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance - Access by Boarding Group (nice, big picture of AT-AT's accompanying said box). Click on "Find Out More" inside that box and it'll take you straight to the page where you can join a boarding group. It's extremely simple if you have the app.

My brother counted down the seconds on his phone. I launched app fresh at 6:59:57. Got BG15 (for 7 people) On Wifi iPhone 11 Pro. We had SDD FP+ at 8:15 am. We rope dropped TSSM, BG called while in line for Alien SS, went on that, over to RotR, back to TSL for SDD & made our Droid Depot 9:15 appt.

So we are heading there next week and I have 3 extra people in my family and friends. The problem is I can't remove them because we are all going to Food and Wine festival in October and I already have our hotel reservations that they are tied to. So the app won't let me delete them. I have read about people creating another account with another email but do you have to link everyones tickets and your reservation to this new account? I am assuming so but wanted to check.

There isn't any reason why you need to delete people or create a different account. Some people with a large number of friends and family in their MDE accounts have been doing that so that they can scroll faster through their list when selecting their boarding groups. But it only takes a couple seconds to scroll through a short list.

The only reason I deleted my friends/family was because I had 15 people on my account prior to. Now it's just the 5 of us going in March. I still have the "what to do about littles", but alteast now its easy access to my BG peeps.

I was wondering, how are people at home helping or checking on desktops for boarding groups? I do not see that option on MyDisneyExperience website, I must be missing something here.
