I really love those last minute Disney getaways. It's so excited to just decide to pack up and go for the weekend. I'm sure it won't be nearly as hot when you go in December. :thumbsup2

Yesterday was my last first day of class. i am pretty excited but very nervous. I will be starting my externship next week and im still working and take my review class. Its alot but it will be worth it. Ill be super busy so im going to finish this may recap but im going to use more pictures than words. I have 12 weeks left. :cool1::banana: My ceremony is december 7, which is perfect considering we fly out the next night. Flights are available at the price i want and we will booking those this week. Then we have to buy tickets for my mom and both of us need universal tickets and thats everything we need. :thumbsup2 I hope everyone has had a great summer. I know the kids here have been back to school for 2 weeks and it is pretty close for everyone else.

Being that busy will be good cause December will be here before you know it!

Good luck with your extrernship!!:thumbsup2

I left off with the kids collapsed in the stroller way past due for a nap. This is when i wished i was staying at the poly again where my sleepy baby could stay sleep all the way to the hotel. It was just me and my mom and the whole trip i got the stroller because she cannot fold it up and she always got the kids. and while my nephew has a few years on devyn , devyn weighed just as much. In fact at his dr appt last week he was 35 lbs and 8 ounces.:scared1: anyway the boys woke up. we could not get them back to sleep so we went to the pool and had dinner and went to bed. i had the cheese steak wrap i fell in love with it last visit and if you ask for no onions they have to fix it fresh and hot. :cloud9: I got an oreo cupcake for dessert and em it was sooo good!

Today we went to mk. while it was fun day. i do not remember all the details so you are going to get pics. we rode some rides, took some pics, had lunch at Columbia harbor house, saw the kids favorite characters ,aka toy story, o and it rained really hard for this one day only, and we had some good snacks, a liberty swirl and ice cream sandwich, that my nephew stole for himself, from sleepy hallow and we shared a dole whip of course!

Today was HS day! It was also the day i realized this was not a fun park for my little one. while we enjoy the shows and all we like to ride and the rides here are mostly for older people and even though my nephew was tall enough to ride TOT, i would not put him on at this age. We got up early to get to TSM, we enjoyed the honey i shrunk the kids playground, saw the Muppet's show, play house disney opps disney junior, and saw some characters. particulariy one of my nephews favorite. handy mandy. today was soo hot, we went back for a break and my nephew did not take his nap so on the way back he fell asleep on the bus and so we ended up just riding back to pop and i joined my nephew on his nap. We ate dinner at everything pop and went to the gift shop and arcade before calling it a night. Im glad this was last minute and i did not do any touring plans for it. It felt good just to relax at pop. The pics start with us waiting in the line for TSM fastpasses. we were there about 9:30 and our return time was 2pm.

For anyone who is still out there. i think i got a bit boring:sad2: I have a dilemma or more like question looking for suggestions. I LOVE animal kingdom and i know a few people could care less about it but do you guys think its possible to do IOA and US in one day. I have in the past but my sis bf and kids have never been and they are really looking forward to it and it deosnt bother me cause i really just wanted to see HP. I was thinking that maybe we could skip AK and spend two days at universal. we all went to AK last time and i do not mind skipping and i'd hate to rush thru 2 parks. what you guys think? Im sorry i get so long winded. this could have been asked in 2 sentences.

What great pictures!! It looks hot and humid on those days, but the boys look like they had a good time.

As for skipping AK... I love AK and couldn't skip it. However, I wont' be trying to fit in another 2 parks. It has been a while since I have gone to US...but I dont' think it can all be done in one day. This would mean skipping AK. I think you need to do what is going to make you happiest and easiest Also, you didn't go on this recent trip, right? So... I think hopping over to US/IOA is a good choice. That is of course assuming your really don't mind missing AK. Can't wait to hear what you decide!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I've never been to IOA or US, so I couldn't say whether or not that is doable in one day.

I do adore AK and would have a very hard time skipping it. I'd rather skip DHS, because, like you said, it's not a great park for little guys. You do have that AP, though, so if you wanted to skip AK, I'm sure you could come back later and see it next time.

Love the pictures from your trip! It looks like so much fun. :goodvibes

Hmm, that's a tough one because I love AK, but I also love the Universal parks. I think you should weigh out what you want to do at each park. Could you spend a whole day in AK or would you probably just do a half day anyway? If you go to the Universal parks, are you mostly going to just do the things the little ones can do? If so, there isn't that much, especially at IOA. Both parks could easily be done in one day. But if you want to try to do most of the attraction at both parks, you'd need at least 2 days, but definitely not more than that. Going in December, you won't run into many long lines, at least that was our experience in 2009.

I think you will do fine, whatever you end up choosing to do! I so wish we were going to IOA this year to check out HP, but it just doesn't make sense for us to buy the tickets and have to child swap ALL day with nothing for DS to do except for Seuss Landing.

You make so much sense when everyone else says it and there is not much i want to do at universal so i will probably stick to one day and go to AK because im in the minority that loves it!

I was thinking about this the other day, I have this map and there is nothing that devyn or any young toddler could do at universal at all and there is suess landing at IOA. Then i love AK so im leaning towards just spending one day. Im just too exhausted to think at the moment:upsidedow

Life is so busy and feels so weird without being on here as much as i use to. im so exhausted from everything. i thought i would just say hey because like always im on my way out the door to class. i decided not to skip AK and just do one day at universal. I figured if anyone wanted an extra day at universal they do not need me to come along. This past weekend was the the first time since school started that i actually had fun and i did not have to work because it was Devyn's Birthday!!!!! My baby boy is two years old and i cannot believe. One day i hope to have the time to upload pics and show them. We just had family and one of my best friends over because everyone else had other obligations but we had a great thomas the train cake, devyn's favorite and sunday i went out to dinner to celebrate the birthday of a friend i work with so all fun but now i got to get back to work.Work harder and play harder is the motto for the rest of the year! Ok i need to be off.

Happy Birthday to Devon!! Second birthday parties are so much fun. Kids start to really get the concept of the party.
