and the plan is a disney vacation!!!!!! :banana:

keep your fingers cross as I fill out this graduation application like my advisor told me to. I still have to pass this semester, do my externship and pass 2 certification exams either way this all turns out, im still going!!! just take away the celebration.
Before I go on let me due some introductions
The who:
There is me! im still fairly new here but this is my 2nd PTR.
Ill be L.T. partly because my real name is hard to get. Im 24, in respiratory school and mommy to...
DS..D. He is 15 months as of today, will be 2 in September, my pride and joy. the one who puts a smile on my face and the reason why I get up at 5am everyday to go to school. :laughing:

As of right now my mom whos age i cannot disclose will be joining us. Everyone else is still trying to decide. we have 11 months so they have a little bit of time
What: You already know!

when: current dates are dec 11 -15, this may or may not change.

Where: Animal kingdom villas is the plan!! hence this trip is not booked yet but it will be within the next 3 weeks.

Why: cause im a disney freak and would go more than once a year every year if i could. DS has just given me more reasons to go. we were just at the poly last month and disney in dec is wonderful!!

Thank you x3!! im really happy to finish! and thank u as well for all you do as a nurse. one thing i have learned from clinicals is RT and nurses working together is great for the patients!!

Our official dates for the trip have been set. We are going dec 9- 14!!! We may add 2 days at the begining but that depends on any finals i have and when i will have my pinning ceremony. That is a must have because i go to a small school and they only have a commencement in May. So i really have to wait till may to walk .........
In other news!!!!

If you havent heard, Georgia has gotton lots of snow today and being the south we are not use to this kind of thing but i love it because when there is snow whether it is only 1 inch almost everything shuts down. One being NO CLASSES TODAY!! yes when it snows in the south all public private secondary primary schools and colleges close!

My baby is sick so i basically took him out to get a pic and bring him back in. Hes looking out the window asking for snow but its tooo cold for us georgians!

Times like this makes me want to be in florida!!
Did you ever have a feeling while you were in school when you actually missed it. It has happened due to cabin fever. Its day three of the snow and icey weather in georgia. I go to school in macon, central georgia, but i live in the atlanta area. the schools up here are still closed but open down there. hence the further south the better the weather. while i attempted to drive my over an hour journey to school i quickly realized that it was a lost casue after taking me 30 minutes to pull out my driveway and sliding on the road i called the professor to tell him i was returning home. appearently the ice melted yesterday but froze again last night. How do northerners deal with the snow and ice? The south, we go crazy..buy up the grocery store like we will be stranded for weeks but i can see that this is the longest it has been this bad. we neveered missed 3 days while i was growing up becasue of the snow. it snowed and melted before the end of the day. So im back to studying at home today and that much closer to graduation!!

Joining in! I am so glad to have found another PTR for December!!

Wild weather for you down there. We don't do much better with snow. I guess we don't actually get much here on this side of the state and so when we are warned of an impending snow storm people hit the stores and stock up too. Course... days ago we were warned...people started acting like the end of the world was coming... Last night the "storm" hit... yet it was all melted by this morning. :confused3

Congrats on school btw.. and oh...what a cute little smile your wee one has!!!!

HEY! Thanks for your compliments. i was the same way. i got excited when i found some dec reports. and the people down here go crazy always and in georgia we dont get a whole lot when it snows. you know we are not use to snow down here but it was really the ice people started having trouble with. its all gone but people still driving like they are in a parade. i guess its better safe than sorry.

Sorry to hear your baby was sick. There's nothing worse than having a sick baby.

We got snow here and everything shut down as well. I wish we could move further south. I think winter is harder with babies. Every time we go out I have to bundle everybody up in coats and hats and shoes. I miss summer, when I could throw t-shirts and shorts and sandals on them and they'd be ready.

Animal Kingdom Villas sound awesome. I bet your son will love seeing the animals.

Thanks yes i dont like it when hes sick and i miss those days where i can throw him in the carseat and he is comfortable without the thick coat on!

HEY! not much going on in the planning world due to exams that pile up all at once. I had my first NICU rotation this month and i really like it.As yall know, i took devyn last October for his 1st bday and i did a short TR that's in my siggie. however in December just barely 2 months later, devyn and i went back on our very own for a short weekend and stayed at the POLY!!! I did not do a TR because it was only like 1 day but i wanted to share some of those photos. so here they are!!and u probably can tell, we were there when it was freezing!!

Dec. 10th... we were there that day, too. Not Magic Kingdom, though. Animal Kingdom and Epcot. Just missed you.

Aww thanks!!I so love the poly but im sure i will not stay there anytime soon.. b/c its just so dang expensive but i will be back one day. So, you were there so i understand all the blankets and coats you had your boys wrapped in! i couldnt believe how cold it was but it didnt stop us from having a good time!

First off, i apologize for being MIA or missing in action, but this semester has been harder than others have said before. The good news is i got approved that i am on track for graduation this dec!!!! :cool1:

i only have to take 1 class and my externship in the fall :yay:

ON to disney, i realize that its a bit early but im trying to decide if we should get the dining plan. i know it has gotton bad reviews in terms of food but i really want to eat at CRT, mainly because ive never been and devyn will still be free as in a year i would have to start paying for him. However, it bothers me that it takes 2 table service credits. So im curious to see what you guys think. It looks like we would break even with the dining plan and paying oop, however, if we paid oop we probably wouldn't get as many meals and at the same time it bothers me that a meal at CRT is 50 but i guess its all part of the castle!!im sure though my mom would not want to pay so i may just go with devyn.
I also want to try teppan edo and crystal palace. I still need to pick one other TS meal, im thinking 50's ptc but i do not know! Help me please! :headache:

We like getting the dp. For us, it takes the guess work of how much to budget for food out of the equation.

As for CRT.... I have never been, because it takes 2 credits. I too wonder if it is worth it. :upsidedow

We've only ever had a Quick Service Dining Plan, and that's only because of Free Dining. I'm not sure if paying for the Dining Plan is really a good bargain, especially once you factor in tips not being included.

But, I can definitely appreciate the value of having all meals pre-paid and not having to worry about how much money you're spending on food.

I'm sort of skeptical about any of the restaurants that take two credits. I just don't see how that makes any sort of economical sense. Maybe with the Deluxe Dining Plan, with lots of credits to spare.

I almost think I'd rather pay out of pocket for CRT and use my two meal credits elsewhere. But I've never eaten at CRT, either, so maybe it's the coolest thing in the World and totally worth the two credits. :confused3

Congratulations on graduation! I know the excitement...we're going to celebrate my graduation in May. I just turned in my grad application two weeks ago to my advisor...it's a great feeling :goodvibes

Oh, and we were the same way with the snow and ice here. I'm in school near Dallas and we have missed 5 days so far this semester.
