We typically stay in a family sutie at the PP for 5 days...but we want to try the DLAND Hotel this time around...we save and save and save for this trip...

What I am wondering...which towers have suites? and does anyone know about the 2 bedroom suites? I thought I would ask here before I actually call the hotel directly.

we are going March 2012 for 5 nights/6 days.

Yes, they have regular 1- and 2-bedroom suites. I've not stayed in one, but I've seen pictures. There is a DISer who always stays in a 2-bedroom suite at DLH and has written about it several times; the name is Disneyanajc. Hopefully she'll post here soon. Meanwhile, you might do a search and see if you can come up with any of her posts or PM her and ask.

ETA: here is link with some info about rooms and suites http://www.disneymeetings.com/disneyland/disneyland-hotel/guest-rooms/

Here is a layout of one type of suite:

I know there is another type that has a keyed entry, then 2 keyed doors that connect inside as a suite. We stayed in one a few years ago but didn't actually realize the whole suite was ours so we never used the second half!! I'm still kicking myself over that one. We'd been upgraded from a teensy-tiny room, the smallest I've ever seen, after telling the supervisor that one double bed for us would not work. We thought the large corner room overlooking DTD was awesome enough :goodvibes

We had one of the mentioned end of hallway ones a few years back. It is different from the picture, as also mentioned. It was nice having the room for our son to run between the second bedroom and the one bedroom portion. We shared it with my parents and they believed the beds in the second bedroom to be slightly smaller than a regular full. It was nice though. Lots of room to entertain. It was in the pre-refurbished dream tower, I believe... the one that is right behind where the waterfalls and coy are/were.

We have stayed in a two bedroom suite prior to renovations. We stayed in the frontier tower on the short end of the tower overlooking the grand Californian. We had a king room, queen room and large lounge room.

Our room was at the end of a hallway which shut off the end of the hall which became part of the suite. So as you enters to the right was the queen room with 2 queen size beds and a fold out sofa. This room had it's own bathroom. We would the. Go back across the hall so turning left into the lounge room which had a toilet, wet bar, large couch and arm chair. Off this room was a king size room with it's own bathroom. We had 4 adults and 2 kids so it was nice to put the kids to bed and still have somewhere to sit. We had a view of the fireworks.

We basically had a one bedroom suite with an adjoining queen room to make it a two bedroom. Back then it was around $650 a night.
My understanding is that the suites are in all towers. As a splurge or for all g term stay it is great.
