We're considering this for our 2003 vacation. I'd like to hear opinions on this report. I'd also like to know if it has a zero-depth entry pool.
Thanks!

I just returned from Silver Lake Resort, it was great. We had a 2 bedroom. It doesn't have a zero depth pool. The pool is very large though and my kids had a great time. The resort is as close to being on property as you can get, it is extremely easy to get to all the resorts and you are the next closest to Animal Kingdom, only AK Lodge is closer. The 2 bedroom was fantastic, large kitchen, living room, master bedroom with King bed and huge bathroom, 2nd bedroom had 2 queens. The ground are well kept. I have stayed at many onsite and offsite locations and this one is great especially for the $$$ we paid. I definitely recommend Silver Lake Resort.

Can you tell me how shallow the shallow end of the pool is? When we go, we'll have a 4-1/2 y/o, 6-1/2 y/o, and 13 y/o. I'm wondering if the middle one will have enough fun in the pool if he can't touch bottom. I know the other ones will be fine. I was at HIFS and their pool was fantastic for younger kids. The little ones (3-1/2 and 1-1/2 at the time) had a blast being able to walk around in the water, rather than being in a float the entire time.

We're considering sharing the 3 bedroom with another family. We figured the adults can have the master bedrooms, the younger kids can share the other bedroom and the older ones can sleep on the couch. It appears that there is plenty of room.

Bump--I'm interested in this too. How did you all book your room? Through skyauction or something like that? What kind of deal did you get and how long did you stay?

Is there restaurants or breakfast included? Is it a timeshare property?

It is not a zero depth pool, I think the shallowest point is 3 feet. They do have a kids pool with a palm tree in the middle, it has coconuts at top that fill with water and dump when full. The pool is very large and my kids had a blast. There is a cabana bar that has a breakfast buffet every morning, I think it is $6.00 per person. I bid thru skyauction and won. It is a timeshare property.
