Hi All.

I am sure this has been answered before, but I haven't been able to find it...

I purchased re-sale back in 2009 so I am currently have a "full privilege" membership and I own at BWV. I need to add on another 100 points or so and would prefer to purchase another add-on contract in order to do so vs. Direct. My question is, what happens with these new points? Do they become restricted? Do they affect my current membership at all? I would plan to purchase the Same use year as my original contract.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I hope you all are having a great holiday!!

As long as you keep your 2009 grandfathered contract, your access to Membership Extras will remain unchanged Adding additional resale points will not affect your access to Membership Extras.

If you add on via resale, the points themselves will have the same restrictions as any other resale points. For example, you cannot use them to book a cruise, a Disneyland resort or any non-DVC WDW resort. The new points can still be used to book DVC resorts according to the relevant windows and availability.

They will be restricted points that will not change the status of your original points.

Thanks - I knew you guys would have a quick answer! Ultimately we don't plan to use the points for anything but WDW so it seems to make sense to go the re-sale route. Too bad I didn't just buy more at $80 a point back then vs. the $100+ I'll have to pay now on re-sale. Seems to be better than $150+ direct though.

If you book a stay with the restricted points are you eligible for Midnight Madness during that stay?
