Hi
I know I've read about others doing this - I decided to overpay on my reservation in order to have a credit once I arrive. (not a ton, just a cushion)

Anyway, when I called today to pay the balance of my reservation plus some I was told that if I did that the difference would be issued back to me before arrival and that it would not be available on my account upon check-in. ???? My understanding was that it would be applied to my account to use while there.

Has anyone else had this problem or is it false information?? I'm going to try calling again once I get to work.

Thanks!

I wanted to do this with my Disney credit card. They told me that it was fine to do, but not to leave it there for more than 60 days. Otherwise they would send me the credit back in check form!! Not a problem. Just wanted to have a little extra to buy some passes with. Wonder if that is the case with your situation.

humm, I'd worry about Disney refunding your money...... You might check in only to find that a refund has just been sent to you.....

A better idea, just use your extra money to buy a few travelers checks. When you check in, you can apply them to your room.

Have a great time.

We overpayed our balance last fall on the fairytale package and disney refunded it back the next week. We were told you could leave the money on account when you checked in but they wouldn't "bank" it for you until then.
