That may depend on the broker, but usually I think it's about $500 or so at first and a total of 10% on acceptance. The last time we sold a contract the seller put up a nominal deposit with the offer and then put up 20% of the sales price when we accepted.

We just purchased through TSS. We did not send any money until after the offer was verbally accepted and we signed the contract to go to ROFR. It was 10% with the balance paid along with the final paperwork.

We just closed with Fidelity and the deposit was $500 with the signed offer. The rest was due with the final paperwork.

We have added on through the TSS and through Fidelity. As others have said, it is 10% with the TSS and $500 with Fidelity. I'm sure it varies with other companies but I would bet it is in the same ballpark for each.

I am closing on a BWV contract next month and when my offer was accepted it was $ 500.00 down and balance due at closing thru the TSS .
