We live in Southeastern MA and have only flown out of Logan twice (usually we try to fly out of Providence, RI) The last time we flew out of Logan was in 1998 and we used a town car service (can't remember which one??) to get DH and I to the airport and then home again.... we now have 2 kids-they'll be 6 and the other is turning 4 on our trip. Which is the easiest do you think in getting to the airport (our flight will be at 7:25 am provided Delta is still flying :rotfl: in Sept... so we'll bypass most of the morning rush hour traffic having to leave before 5am) Should we use the Logan Express and park the car? Is it safe??? How much of a hassle???? Or, should we find a town car to get us to and from the airport? Do you have any recommendations on a town car service and will they provide 2 booster seats?? Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!! :) :) :) :)

Hi There!!!

I live in the Bridgewater area, and we've done a few different things lately.

We have driven to Braintree and jumped on the Logan Express. I would feel completely safe leaving a car there, but we have not had to. DH's brother lives about 5 minutes from the Logan Express, so they grab the car for us, and drop it back off the day we get home, so we only have to pay 2 days parking. The upside to Logan Express is that both your kids are free. All kids under 12 are free.

We have used a car service based out of E. Bridgewater called Extreme Limo several times, and have been VERY pleased with them. In February they were $72.50 for a one-way, I'm not sure how much farther away you are from me, so not sure if it would be more for you.

We have not driven all the way to Logan and parked, so I can't comment on that.

Good Luck.

Debbie

Hi,We have used the Logan Express out of Natick. We have never had any trouble leaving our cars there. A town car is nice but can cost you a bit of cash. I'd rather spend it at Disney. Have a wonderful trip! :lmao:

I live in Raynham and use the Logan Express. I have never had a problem with parking my car. I am going in May, but our return flight gets in after midnight, so I am looking at other option also.

I have always driven to the airport, but this time I decided to look for other options. I priced Logan Express, parking at Logan, and various town cars. I have decided to go with Town and Country Coach. The price is very close to what it would cost me to park at the logan express and pay for 3 tickets. When I added in the convienience of being picked up at my house, and at the airport, no need to deal with a bus, they came out on top. I am not sure if they have car seats, but the person I talked to when I called was very friendly. Of course, I have not used them yet and who knows.

We have used All-Star Limos based in Kingston several times with no problems. Door to door service, no picking up other parties. They often have a coupon in the mailings & in the phone book as well. It depends upon the length of your trip, the parking at Logan Express I think is $11/day & rt tickets for adults are at least $20/person. At some point the limo service costs the same as Logan Express. What we were able to do last trip was to get a ride both drop-off & pick-up at Logan Express from friends & only had to pay for the bus. It takes about 20-25 minutes to get to the Logan Express from Duxbury. There are lots in East Boston where you can park for a reasonable amount & take a shuttle to the airport I believe it didn't cost much more than $100 for 10 days. Somewhat a pain to drive thru all the side streets esp since its so much faster to get to Logan thru the Ted Williams tunnel now.

I agree. If the goal is to save money you'll have to work out the math. Personally, I LOVE being catered to at the start and *sob* end of our Disney vacation - We used Coach2000 out of Taunton. John & Laurie Jean are wonderful & professional through & through (some services can be quite sketchy). They use both town cars as well as limo-vans which are to die for (multiple TVs in back, wrap around leather bench etc. I think their entertainment system will take DVDs but if you choose to use them ask first if you plan on bringing a video with you.) If I remember correctly, to go from Raynham to Providence was about $90 each way (using the van. town car would be less I'm sure), same for Boston.

... and oh.... to be able to sit back and be taken from your front door to the airport door without the hastle of driving, transfers and carting luggage is PRICELESS!

When I fly out of Logan I use Magic Carpet Limousine out of Mansfield (in fact I use them for Green too!). They are very friendly and have never let me down. I drive to Boston daily for work and I can leave my truck at work in Chelsea and take a cab but the limo/town car is just so much better (and easier).

I am planning on using Logan Express in Woburn since it is the next town over from me.

Just remember that it is no longer at Mishawam, but is now located at Anderson RTC!

We stayed in Publick House Inn and Lodge, Sturbridge in the regular hotel rooms in the back one night. They let us leave our car, and Knights picked us up in a shared van and brought us back when we returned. We would use both again, in a heartbeat.
