Can any of you WDW Wedding veterans answer this one???

I see that there is a minimum number of 'room nites' that have to be guaranteed for a Custom Wedding........(25 room nites)........

If several of the guests are Vacation Club members, do their DVC nights count toward the 25 minimum???

Any thoughts would help...........THANKS..........

Yes, your guests need to give you their res # so you can let your SM know and they can count it towards your room block.

Yes they will count. My fiances parents are part of the DVC and their 7 nights are counting towards my minimum. Also, if you have any Florida residents that get the Florida discount, they just need to give you their reservation # and email that to your SM or EM. I believe any other discounts work as well.

The room guaratee is actually easier then it sounds. I remember being so nervous about all of that for NO reason. We are having a custom wedding with approx 100 people. We guaranteed 50 nights would be used and they let us block 60. My concern was people staying off property and not meeting our guarantee of 50. If you dont meet your guarantee, it comes out of your pocket. Anyways - that was not the case at all!!! Everyone from out of town wants to stay on property, and I probably could of used more rooms blocked. Disney was very generous when it came to my room block situation. If they have rooms left at the discounted rate, they will give it to your guests with no problems even if your blocked rooms are gone. Our wedding is March 26 (6 weeks away) and we have over 80 nights reserved!!

Hopw all of that helps!!!

Excellent, excellent, excellent.........

Thanks guys...........Its actually my brother who is being married......and it is quite a ways away, so Disney will not even talk to them yet......but I was doing some research, and was concerned about this particular "minimum", since we are DVC members, and my brother's future mother in law has like 600 million DVC points to give to all of her relatives........I was just curious as to whether all of those nites would "count".......

Thanks a bunch..........I knew I'd get the answer HERE!!!!

Oh, and Congrats Jamie.................ENJOY........................and darnit....now that I see my brother getting married this way, I'm wishing I, not only, honeymooned in WDW, but now I Wanna get married there too............... :rolleyes1
