I haven't stayed there, but the entire area of Poipu on Kauai is gorgeous (the entire island is, of course) so I wouldn't hesitate to stay there.

I set an OGS for May at Lawai Beach Resort and got it! We ended up not going because my daughter got accepted in DCP. It looks really nice!

I set an OGS for May at Lawai Beach Resort and got it! We ended up not going because my daughter got accepted in DCP. It looks really nice!

Congratulations to your daughter. I hope it’s she has an exceptional time, and that you get a chance to try the resort as well.

For the time we want, now there is a two bedroom available. There will be four of us, and we will use the space.

I've never stayed at Lawai Beach, but did have an opportunity to visit. DH and I were staying elsewhere and met up with friends who were staying there. It right across the street from a little beach. There's not a lot of sand there, but the snorkeling there is really good AND one of my favorite restaurants is across the street (The Beach House). They had a one bedroom unit that was super spacious. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there at all!

Oh, the Beach House! We stayed in Princeville but ate in Poipu a couple of times, and the Beach House was my favorite! The view can’t be beat, and the food matches.

We are looking into cash price, since they do go out to 2021.

Well, the conditions of a cash price is unacceptable to us. Pay whole amount upfront, no refunds. There are other conditions, and we are not willing to book so far ahead with them. We can look into this closer to when we would be booking Aulani.

It does seem to be a wonderful resort, and a possibility someday.

You could look into renting from an owner on TUG.
