this stops tomorrow - thursday - 9/12/13

for travel 9/20/13 to 1/25/2014

was hoping for the $199 special again - so $209 is close (this is before taxes)

Great deal - did you book anything yourself?

We have II instead, and I've gotten several great getaways with them. My DH said it's the best part of having a timeshare!

Thanks for the heads up! :thumbsup2

When I first saw this thread, I was going to growl at myself for not waiting to schedule our Wilderness Wildlife Week vacation in Pigeon Forge, but actually this deal ends on the first day of that. So now I can appreciate the information without regret. ;)

Just saw an Old Key West 1 bedroom for 9/27-10/4 for only 23500 points. I'm annoyed I already have something else booked for that week or I would have snatched it up!

call RCI - especially if the other reservation is with them - now you would pay the exchange fee again.

Just not want to be surprised…

Anyone has experience with booking resorts with RCI.
Assume I buy, and then book a 7-night resort.
What extra charges may the resort surprisingly ask for ?
(assuming I am not asking for cleaning nor I make any damages by mistake….nor I ask to enter their special “amenities”)

As I saw the following remarks in their certification:

Some resort(s) require that an all-inclusive fee be paid and you, your guest or any third party recipient of the Certificate (collectively referred to herein as “Guest(s)”) that redeems the Certificate(s) shall be responsible for such charges, in addition to any additional charges and/or terms and conditions imposed by the applicable resort(s). All-inclusive fees typically range from $50 to $300 USD per person per night.

the sale is over for now.

yes sometimes there are extra charges - I bring a pet so the extra charge for him is $50 to $120 per week.

mostly they are not any extra charges - besides tax.

that say this is only for RCI members - so you would need to find someone you know who is a RCI member and your must trust them - because they would need your credit card.

so it is not as easy as is seems unless you are a RCI member.

sometimes there is a security deposit required - but less at timeshares than just regular condo/homes
