RCI at a Disney resort?

I can call tomorrow and ask, but I thought I'd see if anyone here knows if RCI trades at any Disney Resorts. We have lots of choices in the Orlando area, but I thought I might check to see if this is an option.

Yes they do - a few weeks ago I saw trades into OKW, Saratoga Springs, Boardwalk Villas, Wilderness Villas - but we noticed that the available trades were mostly in July and August.

Yes you can, My aunt does it all the time. Shes used it for Wilderness lodge and Saratoga Springs.

You people are great! We own red time (premium) and are looking for early November. Hopefully not a busy time, but it is only 7 months from now. Better get cracking!

We traded into Saratoga Springs in July 2010 for a January 2011 trip. I highly recommend doing an Ongoing Search under My Account on your RCI page because when they're posted, they go very quickly.

They trade into the Villas at these resorts not the main resorts themselves, ie the villas at Wilderness Lodge, not Wilderness Lodge. They are all traded for equivalent DVC rooms. You will get either a studio , 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom or Grand villa. All but the studio have full kitchens and the studio has a very small kitchette.

You can therefore not stay at the Poly for example but you may be able to trade into AKV, OKW, SS, VWL, BLT, BCV, BWV.

Indeed. There was a *huge* banking earlier this month (as in north of 200 units) that covered some early November weeks. You are not too late, but you also do not have a ton of time.

Edited to add: one caveat. If you own *in Orlando*, you will be blocked from exchanging into DVC. Otherwise, you just need sufficient trade power (in Weeks) or points (in Points). Weeks trade power is typically right around 25 or so. The Points tables are available in the online directory.

I'll reiterate PP's recommendation to put in an ongoing search for anything DVC at WDW (AKV, OKW, SS, VWL, BLT, BCV, BWV). Chances are you'll get OKW or SS as they have the most availablility - at least in RCI weeks.

Last time I checked online (RCI weeks), there were some 1BR and studios left at OKW and SS; all 2BR were gone, I think. As you said, you'd better get cracking. Good luck!

You will not be able to trade into DVC. I am posting what RCI has posted in regards to this.

Have you considered staying at Bonnet Creek? It is next to Coronado Springs and a great resort.

It's OK. We really love our resort and we the plan is to only do 2 Disney Days and MVMCP, so we'll be fine at Orange Lake. It was a good thought anyway!

There was a 2BR at OKW in September earlier today. It's the one I swapped for a 2nd week at BCV.
