I had lunch at Coral Reef this week using the
DDP. I would highly recommend it!
Kids still choose a full-sized appetizer off of the adult menu there, so if you have kids in the 8 or 9 year old range there is still plenty of food for them.
Coral Reef includes the "add-ons" in the dining plan and I've heard some restaurants are no longer doing this. For example, we added the grilled chicken to our salad appetizers (none of us like seafood so the pickings were slim). The salad had a FULL chicken breast on top of it. The beef kabobs are no longer available as an appetizer.
The entree I ordered (NY strip steak) was cooked perfectly. My son ordered a kid-sized steak meal (not on the menu, but the waiter offered it). His food was also delicious. My daughter just got a kid's pizza, so I didn't bother tasting it.
The desserts at Coral Reef are a work of art. I ordered the Chocolate Wave and it was WONDERFUL! My kids had the make your own sundae and thought it was really cool.
If you aren't on the dining plan, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant unless you have cash to burn. Yes, it was delicious and very nice atmosphere, but our LUNCH bill came to $120 for one adult and two kids!!! I can't imagine actually paying that for this meal (or even half that much).
