Raspberry Mousse

Does the raspberry mousse have chunks of rasberries and/or seeds in it? I'm ok with raspberry flavored things, but I do not like whole raspberries. If I do an intimate, can I change my cake flavors for more $$? I'd like to add Grand Marnier to the layers of white cake and have the white chocolate mousse and a white chocolate castle cake top. Is this allowed? If the raspberry mousse is good, I may just go with that, but I'd still like to add the castle.

Rassberry was quite yummy, it was flavored no seeds or anything.
As for switching flavors I dont know.
I know for the custom you are allowed to mix and match however you want.
My personal fave was the almond cake with the tropical filling.
It was incredible!

I don't know about the mousse, but I will be having that in my birthday cake there next week. I can let you know then...

As for changing the cake, I was allowed to upgrade my cake to a custom cake. You pay the difference between the two (the standard cake will take around $265 from the custom cake price). But some brides have been told they can not do this, so check with the EM first. IF you are able to go with a custom cake, then you can change the layers and flavors. If you are not able to do this, then you will have to go with the standard flavors....

Raspberry mousse was yummy! It has no seeds or anything in it!

We are having chocolate cake with raspberry mousse, yellow cake with tropical mousse and marble cake with chocolate mousse. Yummy.

Needed a cake with about 8 layers LOL!

mmmmm cake! They all sound so delicious it's a difficult decision, but I think we're having almond cake with amaretto mousse.

Perhaps we should all start to ask for lots of little cakes with all the cake flavour and filling combinations instead!!

We upgraded to a Mickey's Delight cake

We're doing a Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Mousse and Fresh Raspberries for the bottom layer, and Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Cup Mousse for the top layer

We just couldn’t pick so we did 4 layers w/every layer different...
Loved the almond w/amaretto, chocolate peanut butter, white chocolate raspberry and the cheese cake was amazing

My wedding cake was marble cake with raspberry mousse! It was fantastic!! The best cake anyone had ever tasted...seriously!! The raspberry was so good! We talk about it almost everyday and how we are dying for another piece! The raspberry made it perfect!!!

I remember reading that there's either a DVD or CD-ROM for Custom Cakes. Does anyone know anything about this?

There is a CD with a Power Point Presentation of all the cakes offered from DFTW. When you are upgrading the standard intimate cake, or having a custom ceremony / cake, the EM will send you this CD...

There are about 40+ cakes to choose from, but many of them are required to feed at least 50...

We tried 4 different cake flavors and a bunch of different fillings at our planning session... mmmmmmmmmm is all I have to say...

We decided on chocolate cake with amaretto mousse and fresh strawberries for the bottom layer...

Lemon cake with Raspberry mousse and fresh raspberries for the second layer

and Chocolate cake with Raspberry mousse for the top layer. They were all sooooooooooo good it really just depends on what you like best...

Well, the raspberry mousse sounds ok. I do not like whole strawberries or rasberries or chocolate cake for that matter. I'm a "supertaster." That's someone with a lot of extra tastebuds, aka a picky eater. I may go it safe with the white chocolate mousse. That's one of my favorite things. I was just trying to compromise so the guests, who are not as picky as I am, would enjoy the cake, too. Sounds like all the cakes are good, anyway.

We had the raspberry mousse with marble and like KT27 said - it was amazing! I cannot eat seeds so I can assure you, there are no seeds in the raspberry mousse - just yummy goodness

We upgraded to a custom cake for our Intimate WL Sunrise Terrace ceremony, but I read on another post that you can only upgrade now if you have a WP/GF Intimate. To upgrade it was about $265 - well worth it for that fabulous cake. It was exactly what I wanted, like Disney went into my head, saw my dream cake, and made it. And like Fairy_Tale_Bride said, it was one of the best tasting cakes I've ever had, too!
