I Added this rare globe to my collection about 10 years ago. Looking for other Disneyana fans that appreciate it as much as I do.
These globes were made and distributed in the early/mid 70’s for Travel Agents who had graduated “The College of Disney Knowledge”. Only 1000 were ever produced.
Globe shows the entire Walt Disney World grounds as they were originally in the 1970’s. This piece is marked 1975 Walt Disney Productions.
Globe Features the Magic Kingdom, Cinderella’s Castle, Space Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Frontierland, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage, Mad Tea Party, Monorail, Jungle Cruise, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Fort Wilderness, Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village (Disney Village Marketplace), the Golf Resort, Hotel Plaza Boulevard, Discovery Island, and more.
The colors and images are very vibrant considering it’s 46 year old age.
This globe is a trip down memory lane and reminds me of my first trip to WDW as a kid in the early ‘80s. You can find additional pics in the link below.
