Rapunzel Meet and Greet is back!

My apologies if this showed up in recent highs and lows already, but I just walked back into the door and didn't see anything after a quick scan of the forum.

As of Friday 13th the Rapunzel Meet and Greet is taking place again. The backdrop is in the old spot where the princesses used to meet at the gazebo in Fantasyland.

It is not on the schedule unfortunately and the CM I asked did not understand when I tried to get the times from him. But it is "back for now", that much I understood in French.

Rapunzel was there with Flynn when I came out of the Princess Pavillion on Friday around 3 PM. I had seen the backdrop in the morning and thought "oh that's nice, at least they did get that out again." How little did I know. I remember thinking when I came out "what's that pink spot over there and why is it moving? Oh..."

On Saturday she was out around 4 solo, then shortly before 6 I met her in the Princess Pavillion again. Yesterday I was busy unfortunately and this morning I had to go home.

I have also met her at the Inventions Rapunzel brunch which was lovely (detailed report to follow). If that is not in the budget try catching the Magical Moment the day the brunch is scheduled. Yesterday she and Flynn were the special guest there too. But let me warn you, it was mental - Gideon and Pluto walked around because almost no one wanted an autograph and there was this huge big mass of people around Rapunzel and Flynn.

She is one busy lady for sure.

Princess Pavillion was back to almost reasonable wait times. The maximum I saw was 75 minutes, but it went as low as 30. Guess they realized that people were coming again and again to see Rapunzel and it killed their wait times.

Me too.

I even called boyfriend to try and get him to post on Friday. But for some reason the forum gave him weird messages saying our IP was blocked. I had no problems now, so who knows what that was.

But at least I could be the bearer of good news for once.

Thanks for posting this Vala I bet by the time we go in November it has changed again .

I'm hoping that the Princess Pavilion has a shorter queue when we go (as opposed to silly times in June!) but who knows as we are there partly over a weekend . I just know my DDs would love to do Auberge but I can't bring myself to do it again this time - DH definitely doesn't want to go back as he thinks it wasn't worth it last time and it is a long time to sit around when we are only there for a few days! However, if we don't then it's queuing for the PP for sure! Decisions, decisions!

The brunch sounds amazing so can't wait to hear more about that .

That's what they call Magical Moment now, yes. The characters doing a little dance down the stage and then they come to the lobby to sign autographs. It was on every day Thursday to Sunday 4 PM.

Yes, it doesn't appear to be a special weekend and early enough in the Christmas season before it gets very busy i.e. mid December onwards. But, if the weather is quite mild I can't help thinking more locals will appear. Part of me thinks "let it be very cold" but I'll probably regret thinking that .

Re the Magical Moments thing - there was a mix up in the DLH when we were there - I was told 4 pm when I asked a staff member. We went and waited (it was nap time after early start/late night so the children were very hyper as overtired!)..... and waited, and waited! At 4.15 pm I went and asked the Concierge who told me it was 5 pm!! We did hang around (just!) and it was very disappointing (and busy). We saw the same characters we had seen throughout the trip at our meals etc - Mickey/Minnie/Donald & Pluto and that was it . So, it really hadn't been worth us waiting around all that time sadly! Not sure I would do it again tbh, unless I just happened to be there at that time .

They have the times up in that small glass case near the stairs. I went to check when I got in because I heard from you and others that it was 5 PM, but the news flyer in there (and at the morning character meets) said 4 PM.

The Magical Moments are definitely getting busier, I agree. It didn't help for me that it was pouring rain our weekend.

It was a lot of the standard cast though, yes. But I did see Stitch twice, then the Bastille Day outfits, Gideon of course and then Rapunzel and Flynn. It wasn't "OMG what if I had missed it?" level, but I did not regret making the effort.

We just got back from the world and we were so fortunate to run into Rapunzel in Epcot. We were walking between Figment and The Land towards the World Showcase when I noticed a cast member trying to get people's attention towards a secluded spot. We kept walking when I heard 'Rapunzel' and quickly turned around as I realized that was what the cast member was trying to do, direct people to see Rapunzel.

And, there she was, no line! It was really great as we had missed her on our previous trip. She took time to chat with everyone.

I've seen other princesses in this area as well, and usually no lines.

i read on another boards she is only at her meet+greet for summer season. i would luv if she was here in feb as meeting her is our must do!!!! we qued 5 times in the pavillion in may and didnt meet her. i actually priced up a 1 night visit in aug but flight were too expensive as were going to majorca also cant afford it. dd2 is rapunzel mad!!!

Oooh I think my DD1 would love to see Merida - so I live in hope that by November she might be making an appearance at DLRP .

Rapunzel would still be nice but I can see my DD1 deflecting to Merida once she sees the film!

Ohmygod! You just totally made my day. I was dying to meet her but I had already heard so many horror stories about how impossible she is to find, let alone without a 2 hour queue, that I had already silently given up. This fives me not a spark but whole fireworks of hope now!

She had a very significant queue at this Meet and Greet too though, two hours doesn't seem that far off the mark. But at least it seemed that way that they will shut off the line when it gets too long. So you will get to meet her and not have to go with pot luck in the Pavillion.

Yes but I don't mind waiting if I'm sure I'm going to meet her. Waiting for 2 hours for princess pavilion and then meeting a princess I have absolutely no interest in, well, that's a whole other case!
I'm just happy they gave her her own location again, I believe she is one of the most popular princesses so I find it so that she deserves one.
