Rapids Rewards help

Am I right in understanding that I need to create rapid rewards accounts for my husband & kids as well as myself (the one who booked the flight)? I tried to go on SW website and get answers but it's been a long day and I'm confused!

We leave for WDW in 8 days so just want to get the proper credits/rewards.

If you've already booked your flights and would like to earn RR points for flying then yes, everyone gets their own account. I use the same password for my whole family to keep it simple.
You can then go under Travel Tools and add everyone's RR acct # to your reservation before you leave. By the time you get home, you'll be able to see credit for the first leg of your trip. Then within a few days at most you'll see credit for your return flight.

FWIW, it doesn't matter who books the trip or who's credit card paid the bill, the credit go to the person who took the flight.
Also when booking award flights, it doesn't have to go in the name of the account owner. It can be in anyone's name.
