I'm in the final planning stages of our trip to the land of the mouse in a couple of weeks and have some last, random and probably silly questions if anyone can help!

What time is the flag retreat ceremony? I've managed to miss this on all my previous trips, determined this time I will see it :thumbsup2

Is there anywhere in the park where you can buy Disney sheet music? I play piano and the books are really hard to get here!

Will I be ok asking when we eat at CS places to have my metal water bottle filled? I drink gallons of water a day, but cant stomach the thought of how much bottled water will cost! :scared1:

We're staying at the Carousel Inn and won't have a car, how far is Fullerton from the parks? There's a dancewear store I have an order to collect from, just want to know if its possible to get transport either by taxi or bus and if its easy :)

TIA for any help! :yay:

The only question I can answer is yes, you can refill your metal water bottles. The water tasted fine to me. Some places will give you cups of water to fill your bottle with.

The flag ceremony was at 4:30 when I was there. It may change depending on the season. I believe the schedule you can get at the gates will show you specific times.

If you're looking for cold water (and I believe filtered), the First Aid station on Main Street (next to Plaza Inn) Has a fountain you can use all day long.

Hope you have a great trip!

There is also a filtered cold "faucet" at Rancho de Zocalo you can refill your bottle at. it is outside in the seating area and there is no problem refilling your water bottle there, even if you do not eat there.

There are also cold filtered water spigots at the Baby Center (next to First Aid), the French Market in New Orleans Square, and Tomorrowland Terrace to the left of the order windows.

fullerton is about 10-15 minutes from dland. its right up harbor blvd. we usually go to the disney ams store in fullerton.

Great, thank you all!!! :goodvibes I hoped it wasn't going to be a problem getting my bottle refilled. Have listed all the places mentioned in my planning book ready for next month! :thumbsup2 Great also to hear Fullerton is not that far, will probably book a taxi now I know its close enough, thanks again everyone! :)

We always ask for extra water when we eat at the restaurants in DL and if it's a sit down restaurant where the waiter comes by with a pitcher to refill your drinks, you can ask them for a pitcher to refill everyone's bottles. A lot of us use Camelbaks in the summer to keep hydrated and we have never had a problem keeping them full! :)

I don't mean to jack the thread, but what is the flag retreat ceremony? Is it the retreat of US colors or is there a Disney flag? Thanks!

The Flag Retreat is a very special ceremony to watch , we never realised it was a full military style flag retreat , with national service people called forward to participate and a full band . It went for about 40 minutes , I would have to say that was a highlight of our trip to Disneyland and encourage anyone to go and watch it .

Fullerton is only about 6 miles from DLR. I'm not a local, but I would think that a taxi would be the easiest way.
