Random question for terrier owners

This is really just because I've googled the heck out of this and can't find anything.

and a friend of mine got a westie in the last few months. I wanted to get her a collar but don't know how long I should get for a terrier. I wouldn't think they have a huge neck, but I've never owned a dog and don't have any kind of reference. This would be for when the dog is an adult.

Anyone that can help me out?

I have schanuzer, which is a little taller than a westie, but I think has a comparable neck size. If I remember correctly, his collar is adjustable from 12-16 inches. I think westies are about the same size as scotties too.

I have a rat terrier and he wears a 16 inch collar. It is a little bit loose on him and he is on the pudgier size if that helps. My thought is you can always adjust down, but can't make it bigger, KWIM?

Tipper, my female Scottie who is sitting in my lap, graciously allowed me to remove her collar and measure it. It is 15". She has an adjustable collar that is at its smallest setting right now since her neck gets shaved. If purchasing a collar for a Westie, you would need to get one that has some adjustablilty to accomodate a shaved neck when groomed and a larger, fuzzy neck as the hair grows back out.

I can help you! We even have a Westie. Scamp is a very standard size for Westies and he is currently wearing a WDW collar. For a full grown Westie - 11"-12" for the collar should be just right. (we had to go with the larger size at WDW because they were out of the smaller ones but have it as small as possible and it works fine)
