I've been overweight for quite a few years and kinda resigned myself to stay big for the rest of my life. All of my female relatives are overweight, except for one aunt who starves herself! All of them have health problems also.

I think the turning point for me was the realization that I would get diabetes if I didn't lose this weight. I see how my mom struggles with her meds and how she was forced to lose some weight. I don't want to be forced to lose weight.

I'm doing WW at Home and exercising at least five days per week. I'm going to do this. It's hard, but it's worth it. Slow and steady will be my motto.

I had no change in my weight last week which is both good and bad. I know my eating one or two cookies a day had something to do with it, but they were so good! Sweets are my downfall, so I just need to find another way to satisfy my sweet tooth.

I exercised five out of seven days which is good, but now I want to step it up a bit. On days when I weight train, I need to do at least 20 to 30 minutes of cardio afterwards. Eventually, I want to do at least 45 minutes of some type of exercise daily. I found that I was a little sluggish the days I did not workout.

This morning I tried on a few pairs of pants and skirts and found that they were a little looser. Slow and steady...

Slow and steady is the best way to go! So many people think if they lose 20 lbs in a month they are better off, but thats not usually gonna stay off. I try to lose 1 lb per week. Sometimes I do and sometimes I dont. I have been on this nfor a year and a half. As you can see I have lost quite a bit of weight, but I still struggle sometimes (yesterday I finished off the girl scout cookies....today my neighbor just brought a loaf of banana bread) Putting it in a journal helps. Lots of luck and strength to you! :goodvibes

Hope you're having a good week, RAM!

Keep up the good work and you'll get there!
