Ramada Rate Too Good To Be True???

Good morning,
The Ramada Maingate West is offering at rate of $35.10 a night (AAA rate) for the time of my stay (early February). The rate is so low it makes me suspicious. Has anyone stayed here? What do you think? I've read very mixed reports. Some people love it and others say it has mold. I don't want a damp room that I feel unsafe in. I've never stayed off property before (not that I remember). What's the area like?

Also, people are mentioning walking to Disney from this hotel! How is this possible? We would probably rent a car. Does AAA offer free parking at Disney? I seem to remember that...... Where would you recommend I rent the car from? What kinds of discounts are there.

Older hotels can either do a complete renovation or slash prices. You may get lucky but I'd assume the worse. A room that's marginally good enough to sleep in. I'd assume any internet reviewer that suggested walking to WDW is nothing more then a shill poster for the hotel.

AAA members who book a package through a AAA TA get a pass that lets them park near the front the of the lot you still have to pay for parking.

You might see what discounts are available at a Disney value resort. You'll save the cost of renting a car, save the cost of parking and get a much nicer hotel.

edited to say I just looked at the hotels you previously stayed at. You won't be happy at a hotel like this. See if you can get a deal on POP.
