has anyone stayed here , we are booked in for the night before our flight to orlando,we arrive in gatwick on the 27th June and was wondering if there is a courtesy bus to and from the hotel and where would you get it or do you need to take a taxi there and back

Hi,

We stayed there a couple of years ago. I think I'm right in saying that there is a courtesy bus from the hotel - you have to pay, but it's only about £2.50 per person, and I think children don't pay. If you need to go back the other way to collect a car, I don't think there is any charge.

Depending on the traffic, the drive is about 15 - 20 mins as I recall.

Hope that is of some assistance!

Hi there,

We stayed here for one night before our flight in August 05. There is a shuttle bus I but when we tried to get on it the only times left with seats for us were either far too early for our flight or too late!

I can't remember exactly how much the taxi was but it was less than a tenner. I seem to recall it may have been £6 so to be honest it hardly cost us any more than the shuttle bus would have (which had a per person charge I think )

The hotel was very pleasant and we had a nice family room.

Just to add to kristie's post - I timed the journey both ways and once was 5 minutes, the other way eight. The taxi driver said it varies tremendously depending on what time of day it is!

thanks for the quick response, looks like i will probably get the taxi.
thanks again

Yes, I do remember that both ways, the trip was around 8:30am, and there was a lot of traffic around. The actual distance was probably only a few miles.

We stayed there just a couple of weeks ago before our Orlando flight. The bus cost £2.50 pp each way and ran about every 30-40 mins. Even for our early flight it only took about 15mins to get to the airport.
The only problem we encountered was at checkout at the hotel - we headed down about 15mins before the bus was due to leave, but there was a huge queue waiting to pay bills etc, so we were a bit panicked about making it, but we needn't have worried as the bus driver did hang on for a good few mins before leaving to ensure everyone got on.
