Rainy Days

Not really much different to when its not IMO- DLP was designed for the weather so you can always find somewhere for shelter if its really bad. We had rain on both June and Dec trips and it really didnt bother us-i guess its an excuse to look around the shops while waiting for the parades loool

We are going on 22nd sep so expecting some rain too. Ive been to the florida one so just cant imagine disney in the rain.

Unless its really hammering down, DLP is great in the rain.

Far less people around, easier to move about as less crowds and so on.

Ok so if its really really throwing it down then perhaps you'd do well to get out of the weather, but anything short of monsoon conditions we just press on.

(I grew up in a family where the motto was "Wet Programme: Dry Programme, with Mackintoshes")

Top tips for a wet day:

Lightweight pacamac things in your bag
HATS not umbrellas (please, not umbrellas, I loathe them with a passion)
Waterproof shoes whatever it looks like when you get dressed in the morning - we're big fans of walking boots
If weather warm but wet - shorts. Skin dries really quickly and jeans don't.

then you can happily go jumping through puddles and whatnot.

Quite quiet because I guess the locals wait until it's dry. The park is well designed though. If you get creative, then you can walk a long way around the park with a roof over your head. See the video here for a good example of this.

Wet;)

Seriously most of DLRP was designed with the climate in mind, hence why many of the queuing sections are covered. Just remember to pack a waterproof jacket:thumbsup2

Im going 22nd September and i wasnt expecting rain, everything ive read says the weather is still rather warm, 22C.

But to me even if it does rain it doesnt bother me.

Its rained every single time I've been to DLRP - mostly just drizzle, but we did cave and buy ponchos in June!

It makes no difference at all to the Magic, just means the parks are quieter.

I've known about parts of the walkway but didn't realise it was so long. Think I'll take the time to walk the length of it on my next trip as it's going to be a nice, slow trip seeing things that we usually miss or are too busy running from rollercoaster to rollercoaster to actually notice.

The only trip we've had when its not rained was in Feb this year when it was bloomin cold!!

DLP in the rain is no different to DLP in the sun - apart from seeing a few thousand 'yellow bananas' roaming about!;)

The undercover walkway is really nice too - useful if its too hot or raining. I posted a link ages ago to a video of it on Youtube - I'll see if I can find it!

I love that walkway!! Even on the busiest days ever last month Jack adn I were the only people down it most of the time!! And it's a lifesaver!!

We had lots of torrential rain, didn't stop us though :)
