Rainforest Cafe

We love the one in Downtown Disney, but is there any difference between that one and the AK site? Just wondering for planning purposes.

Are they identical, or is one better than the other?

I've been to both of them and one locally. All three look the same.

I'm sure it's just a location thing. I love their quesadillas!!! And Volcano is totally worth it for the moment when the waiters run through the restaurant screaming "VOLCANO!!"

IMHO they are the same. I think I enjoyed the RFC in AK better but I think that was only because we were hot, tired, and it started to pour so we REALLY appreciated a place to get out of the elements and sit down. Of course everyone else in AK had the same idea since it is the only "true" sit down restaurant so the wait would have been long but the hostess asked if we minded sitting in the bar area and all 9 of us were seated immediately. It was cozy in there. My 9 and 11 year old were fine with eating in there and then walking into the gift shop to see the "thunderstorms" in the main restaurant. My teen daughter and my friend's 2 teens gave us grief about not sitting in the main restaurant but that's teenagers for ya. The food was the same as RFC in DD. I can only imagine how crowded the one in AK will be after Expedition Everest opens and draws more people to AK. I would like it if they added another sitdown place in AK for that reason but that is for another thread. Have fun at RFC.
