Rainforest Cafe

Not everyone is going to have that membership, and I was responding to the OP who seemed as if they did not have that membership.

I really honestly think that Rainforest Cafe gave us horrible service, and probably not just us either. There were MANY unhappy faces that night in a similar situation to us. OK, so maybe they were having a bad day, but I am not going to keep my mouth shut if a fellow DISer wants an opinion on the restaurant!

Been to many. We used to have one in the mall near me and it closed down...gee I wonder why...

OK - Relax - No need to be so rude. I, as were you, was just giving my opinion as well. Noone asked you to "keep your mouth shut". But if you post something on a message board, you may get a response that doesn't necessarily agree with yours.

I realize the OP doesn't have a Safari Club membership. That's why I said that I did - To explain why I've never had a problem with the wait there.

Honestly, I don't know why the one near you closed down. I do know that the location at Downtown Disney happens to be the most popular spot for dinner in all of Disney World. They must be doing something right.

My comment about "having never been to one", was directed at the OP, not you. Obviously, you've been there since you posted about your experience.

Well, after weeks of reading good and bad reviews. I made our ressie for DTD Rainforest Cafe for 12/3/06 at 5:30pm- The girl I spoke with was VERY pleasant and took all the info down and repeated it back to me without any mistakes. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CURTIOUS :cool1:
I did call the corporate office to join the Safari Club and was told to do it at the door when I get there :confused3 Why they wouldn't want my $10 membership now rather than wait till December is beyond me :rotfl2: especially since there aren't any of these restaurants around here and what if we change our mind or never make it to the restaurant for some act of GOD???Then they still got something from us, right?? Oh well.... :rotfl:

There was a RC in Norfolk that always had 2-3 hour waits and was impossible to get into. Right up until the day it closed it was always busy.

Some people don't like RC. Personally, I LOVE it. Just like some people LOVE Boma's and I don't. Everyone has their own opinions. Many restaurants that I don't like won't be any less busy just because I don't like them.

We ate at the RC last November during Jersey Week. We had reservations and I think we called 3 months in Advance if I am not mistaken. It was really busy when we got there. I just walked up gave them my reservation # and within minutes our party of 5 was seated without a problem. My kids LOVED the atmospher there. It was alot of fun.

I would make reservations just to be on the safe side whether its for Breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Enjoy!:goodvibes

boomhauer - I wasn't really being rude/nasty I was just responding to what you wrote that was directed towards me.

I hope the OP has a delightful experience at Rainforest Cafe. I just wanted to share my experience as I would not want anyone else to have that same experience either.
