Maybe I'm insane, but is there something called the 'Safari Club' at RFC? People with a card get to go to the front of the line?

I hunted all over the official RFC site and found no mention. Did I make this up?

Thanks for any help!
Kerri

You're not crazy, it exists (or used to). It was on they're site. You join for I think 10 dollars, and they send you a 10 dollar coupon, plus the membership, which does get you a jump on the line.

You also get discounts at other Landry Restaurants, like I get one here by home at Joe's Crab Shack. Discounts are on food (sometimes it is a free appetizer) and on the stuff they sell in store etc. I get gift certificates in the mail a couple times a year too. Worth every penny of it !

There should be something about it on their website. I think it is a phone # to call to sign up. I wasn't organized enough to do this ahead of time, so I just went to the DTD location and signed up there. They gave me a temporary card, and then mailed my permanent one later with a gift cert. So then I walked right up to the "purple elephant" and got our name in, we were called maybe 5 min. later.

As usual, you guys are awesome! And I'm glad to know I'm not insane! Well, at least not when it comes to RFC!

My husband wants to have me committed because of my obsessive planning over our July trip to AKL... Oh well.

Thanks,
Kerri

Does anyone know if the "Safari Club" members get seated even before those with PS's? We have a PS for RFC in AK and I was just wondering if it would benefit me to join? Also, about how long does it take to receive your $10 gift cert.? We leave in 21 days!!

Thanks,

The only way to sign up now it is do it in person at the restaurant. I called and was told this.

bummer! That means you won't have the $10 off coupon for your meal. They'll send it in the mail and it would arrive after our trip. I was going to do this but now I don't think it's worth paying $15 just to go to the front of the line and get the 10% off. I wouldn't be able to use the coupon. Well, how much is an average meal there? Maybe it would be worth it if we're gonna spend $75 for a family of 4 we'd get $7.50 off...hmm, I don't know. What do you guys think?
