Never Been To Rfc At Ak Only At Dtd..anybody Been There And How Was It...similiar To The One At Dtd? Which One Is Your Favorite Of The Two?

In Dec 2005 we ate at both (in AK & DTD) and the service was terrible ... that is why we probably won't ever go back to either one

Been to both. AK was crowded during lunch. DTD was not. At dinner DTD was very crowded.

Inside looks and atmosphere wise, they are the same as each other. We like going to the AK one because we have never had to wait there. The service has been pretty much the same as well.

We tried DTD in April, we had to wait almost an hour to get in.
I enjoyed the food more than the other Disney-owned restaurants we tried on the DP. It was loud, and chaotic- especially in the gift shop area.

I don't know much about the AK one- but it always looks alot quieter than the DTD one. I wonder what the hours are the AK one- are they only open for as long as the park stays open (which makes sense).

We love it. The food is good, atmosphere fun, and it is easier to get into than the one at DTD. Below are a few photos from the AK RFC. First picture is of the courtyard.

Ditto to the other posters. We went to RfC twice last November (during Jersey Week) at AK and the wait was roughly 3-5 minutes. In and out within an hour....can't comment on DTD, haven't been!

Call me crazy, but I view them as the same. I've been to both and don't really have a preference. We eat at the one we're closest to at the time. Like last week when we were at Animal Kingdom and wanted a good lunch, obviously we went to the one at DAK. Usually we're at DTD at night so sometimes when we eat at the RFC at DTD for dinner it's crowded. But, crowds are crowds. We couldn't get into dinner one night at the RFC at DAK because the wait was so long. Oh well. I love the RFC so as long as i'm eating in one I'm happy.

No preference, they are equally poor. At either one, you get a long wait, slow service and just average food. Once the novelty of the surroundings wear off, its just a noisy place to wait for your meal.

I thought both were terrible and we won't eat at either again. Poor service, poor food, too much noise. Just plain bad dining experience all the way around.

I love them both!..I have to go to one of them every trip!..We normally prefer the one at DTD but honestly they are the same...DAK is probably less crowded..but they are both fun and great!
