I last left you leaving Indiana Jones and the rain. We manage to head over to Hollywood and Vine for dinner ressies at 4:30. We arrived at 4:15. No one was ahead of us and no one at the podium. After about 15 minutes someone came out and took my name and gave us a beeper. We found a shady spot to sit and waited out the time. Then lots of people were checking in at the podium and got to go right in. As we sit and sit and more and more people going in Sheri decides to check and see what's happening. This was 5:15. They told her we should be beeped at any moment. So at 5:30 we get our beep. Alex had been holding it and when it finally went off he all but dropped it. It was funny. You would think he never held a beeper before.
They told us they had no more tables for 9 people so we would have to split. We ended up with a 6 top and a 4 top right next to each other. Don and I got to sit with Andrew and Alex.

Dinner was really quite good. No characters at night but food was better than at Chef Mickeys. We chose Hollywood and Vine over Mama Melrose as Sheri and Mike ate there last time and didn't care for it. I knew we couldn't afford to pay for all of us at Brown Derby. We wanted to be guaranteed to see Fantasmic.
The people sitting next to us argued with everything they got. It was supposed to be a birthday party and they wanted a free cake for the party of 12. Of course that didn't happen so they just kept getting more and more beligerant. After a bit of arguing the manager came over and said "if I take care of your bill, will you just leave?" They did. I think they got what they wanted.
After a good meal we head back to Sorcerers Hat and find a photopass person for some pictures.

We head over to TOT for one more elevator ride and it was packed. Alex has now decided he wants to ride. But we knew we would not get done in time for Fantasmic. So we checked out RNR and got right in for another ride. I did keep my eyes open this time and Alex allowed me to ride with him.
We then go to Fantasmic and were really close to the front when they opened the gates. We found good seats and had fun waiting and talking.

Now if you will notice it is getting really dark and we all have our cell phones on tuned to the weather channel. Out of nowhere comes this huge storm. The thunder, the lightning, the RAIN. Oh, lots of rain. We couldn't get the ponchos out quick enough. People all around us got out umbrellas. They kept announcing to put the umbrellas away. After about 40 minutes the rain slacked a little and they started a small bit of show. Then stated that was it and thank you for coming.
We trudged out and was so disappointed. They announced as we were leaving they would have an 10:30 show if the weather held off.
So what do you do while waiting? You shop. So we shopped all the stores. Sheri had found a watch at Contemporary that she wanted really bad and didn't get. The fact that she has 36 Mickey watches have something to do with it? So she once again looked. The boys went to the hat store to order their hats and Don found an ice cream. It got to be 10:15 and the park was really quite empty. I guess that storm really scared a lot of people off. Takes more than that for us. We had a mission to see Fantasmic.
We head back in and again get the same seats we had.

Low and behold the people from dinner sat right behind us and complained lots.
The rain started again so once out come the ponchos. Right at 10:30 just like magic the rain completely stops. We checked the weather on the phones and nothing in site.
All I can say is it is a totally wonderful show. Fantasia is my favorite movie and I love Sorcerer Mickey. As does Andrew. So we were psyched. Don and Tim filmed the whole thing and it actually came out quite well.
As I stated the people behind us complained about the whole show. I wanted to ask them why did they stay? To ruin it for everyone else. About that time a gentleman sitting next to me told them to just shut or or move. I was ready for the war to begin.
So it turned out to be a wonderful day at DHS and we now just have one day left.
We drove home tired but so happy. We truly were at the happiest place on earth.
Our intention was to go back to MK or just let everyone do their own thing and meet for dinner on that last day. Stay tuned to see what happens to us next.
