Having a wonderful time despite the bad storms that just won't quit ! We having had to wait more than 10 min using our fast passes / wait time apps . Mb have worked flawlessly. Kids are having fun jumping in puddles ! Really would like to sit by the pool with a drink in my hand though!! :beach:

Too bad, has it been raining all day? My trip in 2011 we had a day where it rained the whole day. We spent our day in mk and it actually was great. Most rides are inside anyway and the lines were very short. Hope the sun comes out soon for you.

We got home Friday night. We had two days of no rain and five days with some rain. It was more of a minor nuisance. We got lucky. During most of the heavy downpours we were inside. We got drenched one day as we got off the tram and ran to our car. We were going back to the resort so I dried my hair and changed my clothes and by then the rain stopped so we headed to Epcot for dinner. The rain last week was a little different than the usual summer storms. Once it initially rained, it seemed to stick around and rain on and off a little the rest of the day and it cooled down a bit which was really nice.

The rain doesn't bother me , it's the thunder and lightening that stinks! We have been lucky , we were done for the day by the time it starts , and we will have all week. I felt so bad for those leaving the water parks and those who planned those fast passes and the rides have closed . ( looking at the wait times now , half the rides seem closed ) we went to busch gardens today and came back to a thundery disney. Tomorrow is our rest day , praying for some pool time!!
Ps: glad I'm not staying at AoA , they were struck by lightening !

June and the summer months are infamous for humidity and quick passing thunderstorms...Jump a few puddles and enjoy!...and keep your raingear handy, it seems like whenever I have them on me, we don't get rain:thumbsup

Yeah, been here since Wednesday and it's rained at around 1 pm every day. Yesterday was a pool day and it rained all afternoon. No matter, still having a great time!

I just got home Friday night...these weren't quick passing thunderstorms. I'm used to those in the summer at Disney...these were cloud up...rain most of the rest of the day.

We returned last night and I have to agree that these have not been typical quick passing summer afternoon storms. They definitely altered our plans as many of our fast passed rides were closed during their window. The storms made park hopping almost impossible if we wanted to use our fast passes.
I hope it gets better for you.

I've been here at Disney since Friday, and I can agree (as a resident of Florida) - that these are NOT the typical Florida afternoon storms. These seem to want to linger….

With that said, I think it's been GREAT - as the lines have been minimal! I literally walked on to Kilimanjaro Safaris TWICE the day before yesterday in the afternoon - and the animals were LOVING the rain, so both trips were awesome!

My shoes are sooooo waterlogged, though, that I don't think they will EVER dry out!!!

Good to hear you're still able to enjoy. Guess on the good side, lines would be shorter.

I've heard people recommend brining ponchos (great idea), but I'm wondering if rides shut down or if they still run despite the rain?

!

Thank you...I've seen so many people say that was normal weather but it didn't seem normal to me. I'm used to passing storms and rain in Florida but these were coming in and staying all day last week!
