Has anyone tried shoe covers to keep shoes dry? If you found a brand you like, can you share it?

I bought a brand called Arunners from Amazon a few years ago. A bit bulky to carry around but then I always tote a big bag and I hate to have cold, wet feet. I also usually wear Tevas or my Salomon hybrid water shoes/sneakers which dry quickly when they do get wet.

I keep a pair of inexpensive flip flops in my Loungefly backpack (I found very lightweight Crocs at Marshall's for $14.99). If rain is coming, I take off my sneakers and socks, put them in a flimsy plastic grocery bag, and wear the Crocs until the rain and puddles clear. I bought the shoe covers a few years ago and did not like them, they were difficult to put on and if the rain backs up (like it tends to at Disney), the puddles were deeper than what the shoe covers covered! My flip flops weigh less, too!

We do the same, but with water shoes.

I've never used covers but have a few friends that have used them. They all said they're fine for drizzle/light rain but any heavy t-storms they were rendered useless. Even the tall ones that cover boots just slide down your legs if you don't have on tall shoes/pants. The puddles at disney are no joke and outside of rain boots, there's nothing that will keep your feet dry.

I wear flip flops that dry pretty fast so it never bothers me but the rest of my family wears sneakers and has been fine walking around with wet feet- I cannot do that. I hate super wet sneaks. It doesn't hurt to try them but I'd also recommend an extra pair of shoes if you have space.

I throw a pair of flip flops in a bag - just in case. I have ruined some nice/new sandals.

I have used the clear overshoe type booties with great success at the parks. Even stepping into kinda deep puddles. Last time was in a really bad downpour a week ago, I did get some moisture onto sneakers from my ankle socks getting so wet. BUT only a fraction of how wet they would have been, mine dried overnight vs. taking 3 or 4 days (we had no access to put them outside in the sun at Pop).

I take two or three pairs of sandals like Clarks or Skechers on my trip and just walk through the puddles and go about my day. They usually dry pretty fast after the storm and if the they don't I always have another pair to wear the next day.

Do you know what brand you used?
