We have a reservation for dinner at Raglan on May 9th at 7:00 PM. We reserved through the WDW MDE system. We absolutely must sit inside where we can see the dancing. Our young daughter is a dancer and will absolutely love this show. Any tips to ensure we get a decent table inside with a decent view?

Yes. At the podium when you check in, you tell them you want a table in the main room where the dancing will be clearly visible and that you are willing to wait for said table. The place is fantastic! Enjoy your meal.

When you check in at the podium, ask for a table with a view of the stage.

FYI Raglan Road has a Saturday and Sunday brunch. Fabulous extra menu, and the entertainment starts at noon. So if you have a free spot in your schedule between noon and 3 on Sat or Sun, and that late night ADR is going to be hard for you, check it out. (and book through Open Table, not MDE, because they'll have more times available AND they don't have the no-show fee)

I swear the male dancers get so high in their jumps they levitate. (I have a boy dancer and he takes soft-shoe Irish so I tend to watch the guys)

Should I do open table AND WDW reservation?

Should I join the restaurant card club thing? Will that h lp at all?

This is what we did also - asked for table in main room and said we were willing to wait. Worth the wait!!

Why would you make 2 different reservations for the same time? Pick one.

Raglans isn't a Landry's restaurant, if that's what you mean.

No. Make one reservation. The only "help" you need or there is to tell them where you want to sit when you check in.

How long did you have to wait?

At the time we went, we only waited about 15-20 minutes. It was after the first Cirque du Soleil performance so our reservation was for 8 pm or maybe a little later. I suppose the late dining time could have made the difference in our short wait time.

We love Raglan Road! Every time we go there for dinner, we always ask at the podium to be seated at a table in the main room, to see the band/dancers. Never had a problem doing this and were always seated on time. I wouldn't book 2 ADR's though, 1 is fine.

NO!! Do not make 2 reservations. If you do that some other family may be unable to get any reservation at all. That is unfair.
I know of no Club with Raglan Road.
Multiple PP have all told you the same thing. Ask at the podium to be seated in the Main Dining room where you can see the dancers. Tell them you are willing to wait for a table.
We have always been granted this request and never waited longer than 15 minutes past the first time they told us a table was available.
There is no other trick.

We have 5:30 reservations on a Monday in May - will there be any performances going on at that time? Is there a general schedule?

Oh no, I was saying that if the brunch worked out better, make a reservation for that time.

My eyes got mixed and I thought you were saying the reservation was at 9pm. That and the "young daughter" made me think that hta twas pretty late for her! And maybe it was a difficulty.

Also, we've been there at night and it was massively loud and we could barely enjoy it. I've been there for brunch 4 times now and I *love* it. I always recommend the weekend brunch. :)

When requesting certain seating, the main point to get across is that you want to see the dancing (might want to specify the feet...last time I went, I could see hair bouncing up and down, but not the actual dancing, though I was in the main room) and that you are willing to wait.

There is dancing on the main stage and on the small stage in the middle, as time goes on.

Good to know. Thanks!

We've found they come out at least a couple times in the course of one meal (dinner). RR is a fantastic restaurant! The dancing and band are great but the food is fabulous too!

Can someone tell me about how close you can park to this restaurant? My husband can't walk a great distance without discomfort, and I want to keep him comfortable!
