Our ADR window opens tomorrow....
We will be staying at POR at end of Aug/beg. Sept. For our half to 3/4 days at DS and AK, I would like to pick two out of the following four TS restaurants.

Please let me know which you would pick, or of any very good or bad experiences:
Yak & Yeti (would remain at AK and have a very early dinner)
Boatwrights (most convenient since we are staying at POR)
Raglan Road (return to POR then boat to DTD)
Wolfgang Puck Cafe (return to POR then boat to DTD)

We are a group of two adults and three reasonably adventurous young teens.

Thanks!

For the price, you are better off opting out of Boatwright's unless you are on the dining plan. For the price and the fact that it is a mod, way too much. Go over to DTD and try out Paradiso 37 and definately do WPC and Raglan Road. You will be a lot happier.

Also Yak and Yeti is fabulous too - we loved it - we had a second floor table overlooking the walkway - so nice. Good food too.

The only thing Boatwright's has going for it is that it is locating at POR. That is the only reason we have tried it. The food is not good at all and doesn't compair to anywhere else on property. However, if you plan on heading pack to POR on the first night after a day in the parks and traveling, I guess you could do worse.

I am also not a fan of Yak & Yeti. I just felt the food was nothing special.

RR and WPC are both alright, IMO.

Out of the four you list, we've done two -- Yak & Yeti and Boatwright's. We LOVED Yak & Yeti; we would not return to Boatwright's (rude host; 40 minute wait for table; bad food and bad service even my DH complained and he can pretty much suck it up and eat anything). I have read great reviews, however, for Wolfgang so that might be the best bet if you don't want to stay at AK for dinner.

We stayed at POR last year and ate at Boatwrights it was good for what it was southern style ribs and cooking we had no problem with service. However, we love Yak and Yeti, hands down one of our favorites. I really enjoyed Wolfgang's when we went a couple of years ago.

There's probably more than you think at AK so I would recommend staying in the park and eating dinner at Yak and Yeti...not to mention, we've eaten there and the food was great and the atmosphere/decor was awesome!!!

I would also recommend Raglan Road. We just love British pub atmospheres (our honeymoon was to Scotland!) and it really is fun, and the food is really good! We've been there at least 3 times and love it every time!

We have always been a big fan of WP Cafe however our last experience was not so great. The service was terrible. Maybe they weren't expecting to be slammed but it's DTD so they should be prepared and I have to say we seemed to be there forever that night. The table that sat next to us got up and walked out and we could see how frustrated the couple was next to us. But, we stayed and stuck it out. The food was still good, thank goodness so I just hope the service issue was a fluke. I think we'd leave next time. We always went here every trip but may possibly skip out on it next time.

However, we did find a NEW favorite in DTD, Paradiso 37 and we will surely go back. The service was good and the food was excellent. The only complaint I have is that when we first got there the music was SO loud we couldn't even hold a conversation. Seemed that after a while it got a little more bearable (or maybe we got used to shouting:lmao: at each other). Actually there was live music and when he came back from his break it was toned down a bit. I think he had his "break" music on a bit too loud.;)

I have some reviews of WP Cafe and Xpress on my website. I am working on Paradiso 37 and will definitely return next trip. Not so crazy about Raglan Road unless you like their fare. Once was enough for us. And, it's been a long time since we did Boatwright's. If you choose to go to DTD I highly recommend trying Paradiso 37.:thumbsup2

and the entertainment was enjoyable. The nice thing about their food is that it isn't what you're used to seeing on the menu (unless you live in KC and go to Raglan Road there!), but all the ingredients and the flavor profiles are familiar.

We ate things we'd never tried before, and loved it all!

The service was wonderful...and I have to say, as a single mom with two younger boys, I get used to being given the table next to the kitchen, so I was secretly thrilled that they gave us one of the best seats in the house...right at the foot of the little stage where the girls dance! It was nice to be treated so well!

I've got to agree with posters above about a "no" to Boatwright's. The only reason to go there is if you're staying at POR and you don't want to leave the resort for whatever reason.

Of the other three, I've only done WPC, but it was easily one of the best meals I had all week.

We loved Yak and Yeti! Raglan Road we thought was o.k. We never tried the other 2.

I haven't eaten at WPC. Of your other 3 choices I would definitely pick Yak & Yeti!!! It's one of my new favorite restaurants at WDW!!!:thumbsup2

I wish to add Paradiso 37. We had an excellent meal there. We want to return in nice weather to enjoy their patio sitting on the water.

Wolfgang Puck- we are never returning, ever again. My expensive steak was served with stone cold french fries, and nothing else. We had a $50 gift card and still felt ripped off with the poor quality of our meals and the high prices.

We like Yak & Yeti. The french fried green beans are so good.

Raglan Road is good. I remember having a really good soup there.
