Raglan Road

I'm curious about this restaurant too! We have ressies for our upcoming trip and for once, even after looking at the menu online, I have absolutely no idea what to order.

We ate there in June...the food was horrible but we loved the live band and the dancer

I believe that the music begins around 9PM so if you are there for a normal dinner hour you will not hear the band or see the step dancer.

We have always found our food to be great. It gets noisy so don't expect to sit and talk through dinner.

I disagree. My wife and I find ourselves there every trip. She really enjoys Kevins Ham. I like the shepards pie. For desert I would suggest the bread pudding. My wife had the salmon dish twice and each time she had to send it back because she said it was under cooked. Both times the waiter said that that is how they prepare it. YMMV on that one.

If you want to have a dinner where you can talk to each other don't go while the band is playing or ask to sit in the back because it can be a bit loud.

The music starts at 7 and they play for 30 minutes at a time.

I am not a fan of the place, the food was not very good IMO, but I am in an area that has numerous high quality Irish bars, restaurants and music.

All the fried items smell like fish for example.

We were there around 7 and there was some music. I've always had good salmon there and DH likes the stew.

Raglan Road is excellent. Great food and service, and if you are there for the music later in the evening, that is great as well.

As far as what to order, well, we have been there many times, tried almost everything on the menu (I am sure they probably have some new items we haven't tried). Everything has always been very good!

We have taken friends and family, everyone loves the place.

We ate there on our last trip and thought it was good, but not OMGAMAZING. Though, I could totally go for one of their rolls with that Guiness reduction right now. Those were definitely yumm. Entrees were good, but I feel their desserts need some improvement.

:thumbsup2Another vote for the bread pudding... even if your not a fan of bread puddings! It's delish and enough for two.

We've been twice for dinner. Nothing special.... except for the Ger's Bread and Butter Pudding. It is the best bread pudding we've EVER had and it is enormous. They give you a sweet sauce and caramel sauce to pour over the top of the bread pudding. We couldn't put a dent in ours so we had it for breakfast the next morning. Yummie cold too!

My DH and I went there for the first time this past June. We went with friends who LOVE it. We absolutely loved it as well. My DH got the Mighty Mixed Grill and loved it all except the black pudding. I got the Jus Chicken and it was cooked perfectly and the sauce had so much flavor. Delicious! For dessert my DH got the bread pudding and it was one of the best desserts I have had on Disney property. :lovestruc I had something that I don't see on the menu online anymore. I remember it had toffee in it and it was amazing!

We went early so we did not get the live music. I think I prefer that though.

awesome food!
awesome bread pudding!
awesome beer!
awesome entertainment!(there is no entertainment on sundays)

wouldn't be a wdw trip for us without it!

thanks all for the good and the bad... my DS will def. be getting the shepards pie.. he loves that... i think we have ressies @ 7ish so maybe we will hear some music... :cool1:

Had to add my review...since it was the first time I ate there. There was 2 adults no kids and we were on the Deluxe Dining plan and this was at the end of October of this year.

For the appetizer, I had Kilmore Quay Crabmeat Salad - Kilmore Quay crabmeat and potato salad with Clonmel diced apples, mint, mixed greens and apple cider dressing $10.95 It was very good would recommend it.

For the entree, I chose It's Not Bleedin' Chowder - Mussels, prawns, scallops and fresh seafood infused with white wine and finished with cream and fresh potato. - $23.95. It was very good; however, if you are starving and was only ordering an entree, the portion size might be a little small for you.

The very best part was dessert. :worship: I had Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding - Like no other pudding you have ever tried. - $6.99 I will confirm the description of this bread pudding . . . it was the best I've ever had! I only wish I would have been hungrier at that point! If you are ever in the area and even just want dessert and a drink, this is high on my list, maybe at the very top, and it is plenty big enough to share!

I've eaten there twice and the food and service was very good both times. Once I had the sheperds pie, the other the sirloin steak. Two great choices. And if you like beer they have a great selection at the bar. Try a Smithwick's
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I was actually hesitant to eat there as I had read mixed things here but DW and MIL wanted to try it and we were able to just walk in (we didn't haev ADRs for our arrival day) and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised.

here is my review if you are interested:

Our waitress was Kayleigh and she was very freindly and overall did a good job (although she did commit the cardinal sin of bringing the entrees prior to clearing the apps)

We were started off with some rolls with a Guiness Honey Oil for dipping:

The rolls were good, if heavy, and the dipping oil was surprisingly good (and a bit addictive) -> overall we gave it a Jim and Pam as it was a bit out of the ordinary and enjoyable ... a good start to the meal.

For drinks, I started with a Murphy's Irish Red and DW had a Strongbow hard cider (figured we would stick with the whole Irish pub theme). MIL had a water, so no picture of that.

They were good and got the job done. I will say that the Murphy's tasted a little watered down. Overall, we give these a Bob Vance and Phyllis

For an appetiser we decided to split the Crock o' Pate - rustic chicken liver pate served with an apricot chutney -> given that Disney no longer has Fois Gras, we figured this was the closest thing we would be able to get:

Wow - this was so good. It came with nice slightly toasted bread and the chutney really put this over the top. It was also a large portion as the three of us could not finish it all and at a reasonable price to boot. I was heistant to pull out the Micheal Scott this early, but this really deserved it.

For our entress, DW got the Goats Town - which was basically a salad with goat cheese and some berries.

She really liked it, but actually felt like there wasn't enough lettuce. She still gave it a definite Jim and Pam:

MIL decided to get a cup of asparagus soup and side salad:

She loved the asparagus sould which was topped with scallions and came with a bread twist. The salad was just ok and didn't come with enough dressing - if she could have done it over she would have gotten the dressing on the side. On average this gets a Jim and Pam:

I decided to get the Heavan on Earth appetizer for my entree which was a bowl of ribs with a Guinness and honey glaze:

These were very good with a very sticky sauce coating and was a perfect sized portion for me. The only shortcoming I had was that some of the ribs were a little light on their coating and didn't have enough flavor. So it also gets a Jim and Pam:

I also ordered a glass of Konensber beer with dinner which I liked better than the Murphy's.

It was light but with a lot of flavor and was similar to a Stella Atrois but I would say smoother. Definite Jim and Pam:

We ordered some massed potatos for DD. I didn't get a great pictures as it got washed out, so instead of that and of a rating, I will just post a picture of DD enjoying said mashed potatoes
