We went to Raglan Road last Monday, Nov. 26th. We had a 7pm ADR and showed up at 6:30. We were seated immediately. The restaurant was maybe 1/4 full. There was literally NO ONE there!! Needless to say, the service was EXCELLENT. The food came quickly and our waitress was very attentive.
The 5 of us had the Scallop Forest and Calamari appetizer (the calamari also came with fried veggies). Both of these were GREAT!! We loved BOTH!! I had the Sangria, sister had several flavored martinis and DH and the other couple had beers of varying types. All the drinks were GREAT again!!
Now, on to the entrees....
Me and female friend had the It's Not Bleedin Chowder. Both of us loved this dish. You need to be a seafood lover to get this.
My sister had the fish and chips...it was just okay she said and she didn't really think this place was so great. She called it BAR FOOD and thought we could have done much better.
My husband and male friend had the Keen Eye for the Shepards Pie. While the both liked it, they didn't love it and they were kind of disappointed. It looked impressive but seemed like mashed potatoes over ground beef. Not so exciting.
My sister did however order the creme brulee for dessert and we all agreed that this was FANTASTIC!! It looks like cheese cake when it arrived at the table but it was truly one of our fave desserts of the week!!
Overall, we had a great time. But will I return?? Probably not unless I am just going for drinks and apps./dessert. For no other reason than there is better food elsewhere.
