Never been to Rose&Crown, but I have been to Raglan Road, and it was sooo good! Highly suggest it, and I also suggest making dinner plans around 8pm, as they have a Celtic singing group, fiddle and all. They also have a dancer that does Riverdance type of dance on a high center table.
We've been to both and I have to agree the food is slighly better at Raglan Road, but for a nice dining eperience the outdoor seating area at Rose & Crown is one of the loveliest locations on property. The staff was also excellent!
I have to agree food is much better at Raglan Road. I've been to Rose & Crown twice and didn't get outside table either time so even the atmosphere has been nicer at Raglan Road.
Yes, Raglan Road is the way to go. The best dish I have ever had there, (and they are ALL exceptional) was the "It's Not Bleedin' Chowder". My eyes crossed, it was so good!!!
They give you Irish Brown Bread and a Guiness Dipping Sauce. It is very good. The first time we went we had to ask for it.
I agree with a couple other posters...The chowder (not really like a chowder - it is not very brothy, if that makes sense) is awesome as well as the bread pudding.
I have never been to Rose and Crown except the outdoor bar area (great cider). Raglan Road has great food and great atmosphere. The Irish band is wonderful. Every dish we have tried has been amazing. Try the bread pudding!
There are only two Disney resturants that I won't recommend, and Raglan Road is one of them. Rose & Crown on the other hand has always served me a good meal.
However, which one I would pick of the two depends upon where I plan to be on the day in question.
I'm a big fan of Raglan Road. The food is good, though I've had 'good' and 'great' meals out there, there might be a consistency issue there. But after 9pm, when the band is playing, there really isn't a more fun place on the property for me. I've only been to R&C mid day for a beer while touring world showcase, so I haven't gotten the full experience and really can't compare them.
