We will be staying at this hotel in May....Has anyone ever stayed here or have any thoughts on this hotel....

So sorry for my headline Should of read Orlando......

We stay there every year. It is cheap and well looked after. The pools and hot tubs are lovely. They have a nice Tiki bar, and if you have kids, they do games at the pool daily. Their breakfast buffet is good, but I would advise against eating any other meal at Mandolins. The food is bad and expensive. Some peole have said their rooms were stinky, but I have never come across that.

We "won" one night through Priceline there in March before our onsite trip began, and just "won" 3 nights there for Memorial Day weekend.

In March we arrived around 10pm and left around 8am the next morning, but it was clean, quiet and our room had a fridge.

We are looking forward to checking out the pool this time.

Can't beat it for $38/night. HOWEVER they charge an $11/night "resort fee" at check-in even if you booked through Priceline bidding.

We stayed there for one night a couple of years ago and we really liked it. My son saw the picture of him at the water slide and asked if we would be there this year. We always stay somewhere close to Disney the night that we drive in. ;) I like this place the best so far. ;)

We stayed there for 1 night in fall 2007. For the price, it was very nice. Clean room, comfy beds, professional staff, SUPER close to WDW property, and nice grounds/amenities. Pretty pool area, but the main "feature" pool is NOT heated. Brrrr. The smaller pool was at a much more comfortable temperature for the end of October. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed there Jan. 08 and 8 days this January. We love the place. Great Tiki Bar outside and Sports Bar inside. 11 foot screen. Bartenders are the greatest. Miriam and Amy (Tiki Bar) and Michael (Sports Bar). AAA for $99.00 with breakfast. (of course the $11.00 resort fee). Close to the parks. Right across the street from Celebrations. Great Italian Rest. D'antonio's. Also Celebration Town Tavern. Ask for Room 6703. (Building 600, 7th floor). Graet pool view. Tell the bartenders Maureen and Neil said Hello.....

Does Room 6703 have sleep number beds? How close is it to the elevator? And is this where the Main Lobby is?

I thought it very close to the world- didnt feel we were driving for a long period of time- corner- left, corner left then a right and there it was-- Maybe it just felt that way since I wasnt driving:rotfl:

I am so glad to finally see some reviews! We are staying here in June, got a $57/night rate on Hotwire. It looks great on the website, but I feel better hearing from real people who have stayed here. We are excited, especially the kids, who are excited about the pool slide!

TinkerBellToo2 - Yes it had a sleep number bed. The 600 building I think is the nicest. Doesn't have to be that particular room. See what they have in that building. I stay there alot so they took care of me. Booked thru them. The elevators are pretty close. You have to walk across the pool area to get to the lobby, sports bar and snack are, but worth it for the view. Just minutes from the park.

Thanks for the information. I will ask for the 6000 building, and high up I think that no smoking goes to the sixth floor after that the smokers go on up to the 7 and 8 floors. Really looking forward to staying there. :goodvibes

That's a GREAT price. I need to check that out for our first night in Orlando this Sept.

We used Priceline and got the room for $35 a night including taxes. So with the resort fee of 12.00 that brings it up to $47. Can't beat that price.

Tinker....Don't think they will give you a choice of locations when you use Priceline...We met people there and the said the could'nt get the 600 building while using Priceline....Also saw that on a thread...I quess its like an upgrade room...doesn't hurt to check though...

I think my room was a little higher $ on Hotwire than Priceline because it is a sleep number bed room. I only know this because I called the Raddison to add another night to my reservation, and she said that it was. Of course, my added extra night was $80.00 with a AAA discount, the cheapest they would give me. :goodvibes

We are booked here for 2 nights before checking into VWL. I called them just to make sure we are definitely booked, as I went through hotwire. I asked the lady about the sleep number beds, and she said to just ask when we check in, and it shouldn't be a problem. She was looking at our ressies while speaking with me. Hope she's right!

Can anyone tell me in what buildings the newer rooms are located?

I know that they have done some renervations but don't know what buildings or building they are in...

The only thing that I thought was good about this place was the bed. It was comfy. First of all, the staff were rude. The halls reeked of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was nasty (dirty floors n stuff on the wall). Don't know what the stuff was. Eeeewwwww. We happened to order pizza one night from one of the pizza advertisement papers they slide under your door. The pizza was great but they must have been in the ghetto. The girl who took the order was a total &*%^$. Should've been my first clue. The guy called us to let us know he was down stairs waiting. When my husband paid him for the pizza he got in his car and left without giving us change. Um drove away with a $15 tip. I was ticked. I called them and they girl who answered the phone was rude, and I felt that if she could reach thru the phone she would have slit my throat no questions asked. :scared1: This is how she acted. I reported it to the BBB. Point is the front desk told me they monitor those people coming in with these flyers, they dont. They were under my door every day I was there for 4 days in October. I will never stay there again. I didnt think it was as nice as it was advertised. Didn't feel safe. I will always stay on Disney property.
