Rack Rate ONLY for holiday periods???

Hey all,
I am just wondering if anyone was able to book anything but rack rate for the holiday weeks. We are only able to go during the Chrismas/New Years week, and have been always stuck paying rack rate! Still worth it for the express line during the holiday but still ........big $$$ ! I called and the reservations office, and they said that they prob wont have any discounts during the "big week". We decided to do Universal during Christmas........even though the rates were very high, because of the express access. Then we go to WDW, after NYE for the Value season and lower crowds at WDW.
Has anyone ever recieved any discounts during the Christmas week or are we stuck paying rack rates ????

jgtemjwjuuubwI'd also be interested in the answer to this as we are changing our dates from12/13-12/16 to 12/27-12-/30 and there is a big difference in rate

i am not sure about christmas but i am going at the end of may (mem. weekend) for 159.00 a night a rpr .pool view ...i am a fl res. though so that might make a big dif.
