I ended up running local St Patty's 5K today. I wanted to see how fast I could do a 5K since I hadn't done one in a while, been doing mostly half and 10K distance these days. The run was nothing exciting or scenic, it just took place on some streets surround the automall. I ended up finishing in 25:30 and got a new 5K PR time. I was pretty happy with my time since my previous best 5K was done in 28:14.

Good luck WISHers! I especially can't wait to hear the Little Rock reports as I plan on doing it next year.

I'm heading there this morning (forgot to post on the calendar b/c it was a last minute decision) to do the first leg of the relay. But I've volunterred and done the full before and it's a great event! Some good ole southern hospitality, challenging course and a hubcap of a medal for full finishers. Guess I should get going!

Way to go Casey. I too did a PR today. Ran the Komen Race for the Cure. There were about 1,000 runners and 7,000 walkers. Not bad for the Ft Myers area.

I really wanted to break 23 min but just couldn't do it. Actually probably could have but my pacing was a few seconds off. My previous PR a few weeks ago was 23:47. Yesterday was 23:19. My splits were only 3 seconds off from each other. Pretty consistent

You know I would rather run a half versus a 5K. In the half you kind of pace yourself. In a 5K it is kind of all out and is painful from the very start.

Not much planned for the future. I have a trail 5K coming up and that is about it.
