I LOVE
Disneyland! I do!

I don't know if it's because WDW has become an annual pilgrimage for me while CA is one of those "once in a lifetime" things, or what, but I love the intimacy of the park -- the friendliness -- and I loved, loved, loved having my husband and kids with me for a change. What a different experience!
Very quickly, I'll admit I saw very few WISHers -- I didn't make any of the meets because I was always somewhere else with my family. (Very different from WDW where I am usually left with time on my hands.) I hope to see many more of you in January (like "normal").
Tracy did a great job describing the race, so I'll just say this... As usual, my goal was to take as many character photos as possible, so no PR for me -- though I finished faster than I did the inaugural year, I'm pretty sure. Our family happened to win a
Dream FASTpass from the Year of a Million Dreams celebration while we were there (for every FASTpass attraction in *
both* Disneyland and California Adventure very cool!). Also, my 9-yr-old son was picked to go up on stage for a Jedi training show and he kicked Darth Mauls butt in a light saber duel. Oh, and by sheer luck from our hotel room window we could see
both the Disneyland fireworks and the California Adventure parades. Because there happened to be a Disney employees labor dispute protest the morning we left, we even got a free 4PM late checkout on Monday. Lots of blessings great and small all 'round.
The 5K and Half were a ton of fun, the medals were breath-taking, and I wish I could return every year. I think I actually prefer the WDW Half course -- not quite so much asphalt -- but I loved the attractions in both the CA parks.
So enough words -- Here's the eye candy!
