Sorry Vic. I forgot to update that, due to multiple injuries, there is no ultra marathon for me this weekend. Sorry! :guilty:

Good luck everyone and I hope you are back on the running horse soon Tandy. This was going to be a non-race weekend for me but I got roped into doing the Cleveland Urban Iditarod. It is a fundraiser for Harvest For Hunger where your basically have four people pulling a shopping cart full of food and one person behind steering though the streets of Cleveland (Ohio City for those in the area). If you are around come check it out. It looks like a lot of fun.

Mike and I are doing the Papa John's 10 miler this weekend in Louisville.

Good luck to everyone running this weekend!:goodvibes

My 10k went well - only a minute and a half slower than my 10k PR, but since this course was not perfectly flat like my PR course AND I did a half last Sunday I am THRILLED :cool1:

Looking forward to the second race in the 2 race series: a 15k on April 22nd. Really hard to find 15ks, so I am very happy to give this one a shot. Actually, all of my 15ks are the Minnie Marathon Weekend's Women Run the World. I was a walker at that time, so it will be fun to run a 15k and create a running PR baseline.

This Scioto Miles Series was set up by our local Fleet Store and one of our local race companies. For the first race you could choose 5k or 10k. The second race you can choose 5k, 10k or 15k. It was $75 if you registered for both at once and the first 500 registered got a free Brooks Utopia Jacket. I was one on those and the jacket is AWESOME!!! I was shocked to find the Utopia jacket costs around $120, so I am on :cloud9:.

My DN (dear niece) registered after the first 500 and she got a Brooks Essentials jacket. This worked out perfectly for her since she is moving from cold central Ohio to Orlando in a few months. The Essentials jacket is great for her in the warmer climate.

I figure we either got free jackets and 2 races for $75 or we bought 2 jackets (with the Utopia on sale) and got 2 free races :rotfl2:.
