There are a lot of cool race reports to be posted yet, but I guess i'll go first. hope you've all had wonderful races.

I did City of Manchester 10k this morning. Up at 6.15am, my boyfriend arrived at 7am for the drive to Manchester before roads closed. Whoever said local races were easier!?!? This was our first ever run together and we aimed to do the whole thing together.

Now he had told me that he was going for 55mins to 1hr so felt ok about that. We set off at 9.30am around the athletics track used for the commonwealth games, which was crowded with around 2000 runners, then out to do a longer followed by shorter lap and finished with lap of the track. DBf took off at nice pace behind crowds..... then bam obviously his plan changed! I was checking my garmin and we were going from 7:15 to 8:30min/mile eeeh. He didn't pull back at all and we finished hand in hand (i know pass the bucket ) in 50:55, my PB by 3 mins and his first EVER race. So so proud of him (and myself )
