Race Reports/Encouragement/Kudos - 22 and 23 October

ANOTHER PR!!! ;) You did great! You're hard on yourself, but part of improving is the desire to do better so I can't fault you for that. The experience of racing is not the same as running. It will be interesting to see how you do in your second race, now that you've been in that atmosphere.

No I didn't use your mantra. Mine was something like "the faster you go, the faster you will be out of this hell".

Yeah, I'm super competitive so the first mile, I was right with the group that lined up in the 15-20 minute finishing range. I realized after that first mile (7:06), I needed to pace myself so I didn't run out of gas at the end! lol

I can't wait until my next race. I'm actually about to start my every other week long runs outside to build up my endurance for my 1st half in March.

I'm glad you did well (even if you didn't use my mantra!);)

Glad everyone seemed to have a good weekend.

My Dawg Dash 10k race went well. The rain held off and the temperature was in the mid-50's.
It was fun because we ran through the University of Washington campus and Husky stadium (which will be closed soon for construction). I graduated from the UW many, many years ago!

Here's my stats:
overall place: 427 out of 1375
division place: 7 out of 64
gender place: 129 out of 737
time: 48:29
pace: 8:24

I ran with my dog and she did very well too.
